Your sig is an image link to a shirt of a bird flapping its wings, your username is jabberjaws13, and you're trolling various forums in a feeble attempt to gain votes for an unpopular design.

But these birds are singing and getting electrocuted so where is the flight in that? Seems like another boots design that, cute as it may be, was shoehorned into the derby theme.

love the design , but I have to agree

no flight. more like perch.

similar shirts were proven to exist, though, so...

Look, if you're panties are in a bunch because this is less like said shirt than the rocketpack is to other rocketpacks, I'm with you. Woot is proving why people are so malcontent with them on that move. But it is still a viable rejection made no less viable for what has gone unrejected.

Blammoed has no past history of disrespect. Ergo she has no or at least less of such argument here. Though I do think that subbing something after having multiple similar pieces pointed out to you is certainly beyond my personal sense of logical actions. Suffice it to say, the others' reputation is one of negativity, disrespect and general cheating the system to increase their own net gains, and has been consistently for nearly a year. That could possibly explain the difference, were you to contemplate for more than a second upon it.

It's charming how people who have no concept of this site's past will try to correlate things which are in no way related in order to sound less ignorant, in the way a child, ignorant of the world, is charming. The same sticky-handed, annoying, "I can't say this isn't charming because everyone likes kids, right?" charm.

You will also note that there is NEVERTHELESS quite a bit of insistence that this be rejected, as it surely should be.

It's killing me that this obviously-improved version doesn't have even as many votes as the original. If you voted for the other one, vote for the resub, people!

Re: Gaseous Irony

WHAT!!! I love this shirt. It is one of the best ones in the derby. It takes some intellect to actually get the shirt, and so what if it has letters on it.
I think sometimes it is okay if a shirt has text, and in this case it isnt even words!

No, the actual difference here is that there isn't a massive rush of irrationally angry blammoed fanboys and fangirls spouting insults and ignorance about how amazing the design is and how perfectly on topic it is and how they don't care if there are similar shirts because they like it and that entitles them to buy it, and how all the negative idiots should go away and not badmouth the shirt they like, etc.

You'll notice that every flame war on this site starts because the one or another of the people who like a design absolutely refuse to accept that there could be anything wrong with it and won't allow any criticism. There is a very strong correlation between these kinds of people and people who like ramy shirts. I don't know why exactly (though there are plenty of reasonable hypotheses) but you don't see flame wars elsewhere because the supporters are reasonable and the artists welcome criticism which can help them improve. They aren't just here for the win.

srm8ib4 wrote:Nevermind. I saw the bigger picture. I think the design is incongruous. I like the style and the intricate detail you have in your design, but there are huge spaces of blank on the shirt. If you continued the design throughout the shirt, it would be a more cohesive piece.

It's probably a pretty easy fix.

It needs another color to delineate the sky, because right now everything kind of reads on the same plane (pun intended). In addition to the flattening effect, it also diminishes the immensity of the sky fortress/airship. That, and playing around with the placement of the crashed plane (and maybe connecting somehow the its piece which appear to be floating) would help a ton.
