So true. It'd buy this in a second; it would be my computer repair shirt!

If it doesn't win it'll surely be a honorable mention or something

Ugh... six votes away from making a tie to third place. I did my part to vote, but man... I'm really sorry that you didn't place. I was really looking forward to this shirt. It was certainly one of the more solid and well thought-out entries in this derby.

I read above that you were considering printing the shirt elsewhere if it didn't place. If you indeed have the ability to do this, please post a link here or private message me later when it is available.

Thank you, and thank you to any others who commented since the close of voting (thanks to a coding error I was aware that I wasn't going to print, but I figured I'd wait it out and hope for a miracle).

I'll be compiling a list of people who've said they want this both on this thread and in my PM box, so if you are one of those people, let me know I'm crossing my fingers for an HM, but we'll see.

Re: A Viceroy's Visit (resub)

I really wanted this shirt. I can't believe it lost by 5 votes.

Hmm... well, if I understand Woot's terms and conditions properly, looks like we'll have to wait at least 60 days before the shirt can be sold elsewhere, since Woot retains exclusive rights to the artwork until the agreement terminates, assuming they don't opt for an Editor's Choice (can always hope).

Which is fine. I can wait.

Yeah, I'm aware of the waiting period It could even potentially be longer than 60 days if I get an HM and the next double-take derby is far and away (which I think it is).
It kind of leaps into the vacuum and history with other designers suggests that people tend to forget/stop caring after too much time has passed, but for me the waiting is fine - it just means I'd have more time to select the best print venue for it.

a bit late, sorry.

i don't think it's too close to the earlier works. a vague similarity, yes, but still different enough to warrant a new entry. i do think it feels a bit "safer" than the earlier, spatter-y butterfly shot.

regarding comments: just because you don't use a huggy box or speak in a timid manner doesn't justify being a prick. too many adults i see think it's acting grown up to be an insensitive boob. hey, look at me, i'm a bitter, cynical person, aren't i mature? well, no, you're not, at least not based on your (not) constructive critique. (all imho)

What's up, folks? I've already sent PMs and emails to people who asked me to, but if you're just randomly swinging by and would like a copy of this design, head on over to Goodjoe and give it a vote!
