Ugh the shadow/ground/line kills this design for me. :[ It's a real shame.

mrwednesday wrote:You know what really makes me laugh about this shirt? There is just as much criticism on this shirt as almost anything out of ramyoku but the thread is completely orderly and calm because there are absolutely no one shirt, 2 month old zealots screaming and yelling about unfair criticism throwing ad hominems left and right insisting everyone who doesn't like should just leave shirt woot because they are going to vote to spite all the haters.

I'm almost 100% convinced at this point that every single one of them is just ramy or seki on an alternate account or possibly sycophantic gaiafanboys.

It is also interesting how many people post about how they love to wear those designs at school... I don't seem to notice the high volume of tweens celebrating and defending other people's designs... maybe parents should stop giving their credit cards to kids...

Patrick maybe YOU should be the one to tell me, and others who don't get how this shirt is vaugue, is on topic.

I'm going to venture out here and say that I believe the 3 sequence in which the bunny is swirling around with carrots equate to the vagueness of his story. For example, how did the bunny get strapped to the table, get lasers for eyes, and finally return to ground a normal bunny. The segments of his story that would detail this are missing, along with the bunny's captors. I suspect that this is why the bunny's memories are vague.

Woot left this one very vague... allowing for both vagueness and vagality... Thus a vague submission about vagueness fits vaguely into guidelines with such vagary...

Ditto. Not my favorite Ramy entry, but still a nice arrangement of elements to make for an eyecatching design.

I was hoping someone would do St. George and the Dragon for the Renew Derby (as per Mummers Play fame). Glad to see that even if it didn't make last week's deadline the story is represented here.

Not really. I like many other nice shirts in the derby and will support them likewise .

Also, you'll notice I didnt mention anything about theme in my post. There is a reason for that. I kind of agree that, theme-wise, this is stretching it without the title. However, like any design, until it is deemed off-topic by the staff it remains a contender. I merely commented that I like the images. It's up to the staff to decide what is on and off theme.

I wish the sky looked a little bit more dreamy, maybe just a few stars? When I look at this, it makes me feel daydreamy ^^;. Sometimes I want to rocket away too. This image is really cool, and if you look at it for long enough it makes your mind wander away. I really like it, nice job Boots. I always love your tones and color choices too.

xazothia wrote:I think as a general rule, if I want someone to look at my cleavage, I will be wearing a low-cut top - not a t-shirt, or anything else which, y'know, covers my cleavage. (unless I was entering a wet t-shirt contest, but I'm not that kinda girl)

objects set in pairs on opposite sides of the shirt are usually a no, round ones especially. a single tall, slender object running up the center is also to be avoided. as this design shows, anything which rounds out the top edges of the assets is no-go (if the design were set lower, it might be okay, but I'd need to see it on a model before I decided).

some women complain about designs that are so tall that they'll wrap under the chest area, but that varies from individual to individual and probably changes based on chest size.

The designs that are taller and can wrap under the chest area does vary from individual to individual... but it also depends on how someone wears their shirts. I was cursed with a large chest, so I have to get larger shirts than I need to accommodate them, but I know with certain designs I can go a bit tighter.

Most women who vote obviously have a woot shirt and know how they fit, and what size they need to do so. Trust me, even with I do get bigger shirts they aren't huge on me. They are just a bit bigger in the stomach...

NOTE: I did get a shirt one time, not at all thinking of anything, I did take note of where the design placement and what size I should get, but the shirt came in a bit smaller than the typical size I get, and it was a tea part. So... I had two kids having a tea party on my chest holding tea cups, which looked like they were pinching a certain part of my chest. Now, please avoid that.
