Re: Scarab and eyes v2

The maroon background is better, but you do need the outlines of the shirt to show as a dark color.

Tanniver, I'm consistently loving your work.

The only thing I don't like about this piece is the hatching on the ground. Looks a little sloppy. That said, it's merely a nitpick and I'd love to wear this design. GMV!

Beautiful colours and a clever, well-executed idea. GMV, and will definitely purchase one for the BF should it win, as he's a VW bug driver and enthusiast.

Re: Ou Est Le Discotheque?

At first it reminded me of an ELO album cover, then I realized it was Journey. I guess it reminds me of both somewhat. All I know for sure is I like it.

I don't think I ever said it, but I love the look on Nubie's face. The seething undercurrent of rage is subtle and perfect.

S'okay, Teej. Perspective has never been my strong suit.

Teej, hehe thats a new one for me. Yeah perspectives a bugger I'm finishing up one right now that just about drove me crazy because I didn't use any reference :S

I think he means that when woot allows video game references, it really only gets Mario and Zelda (Link) references.

Oh, I didn't even see the new thumbnail before it went away. I like the original (and still current) better anyway. The guy offering food fills up the box better than just the cat.

I wish this was doing better than it is. It's such a great design!

Well, if I bought the shirt, one of my teachers has studied hieroglyphics extensively- he'd probably chastise me for getting a shirt that had glyphs not all facing the same way. :P I think it's really cool though.

I kinda see this more with the American Southwest than Egypt, with the copper and turquoise colors (but I might be jaded since that's where I live). It's quite lovely! GMV

The pharaoh on the shirt looks like Akhenaten- shouldn't it be Ramesses the Great?
