Re: Raining Hearts

This is very charming. I like the minimal look with the soft, scattered color. I can think of a few tweaks I would like, but overall this is a lovely design!

I didn't realise, I guess I could re-enter it.

But wouldn't I lose the votes? Seems like it's a bit too late anyway, not like it'll win, so to enter a slight improvement would just be a waste of time, and I can't delete this can I? I don't want to spam the derby with variants. :O

Re: Heart Hunter

You can't really see his tummy so it makes him look skinny or something? Idk, it's weird.

I love the lanterns and I think that they alone would have made a better shirt. The tiger's alright and I get the year of the tiger thing but I think that could have been done in a more subtle way, like having the chinese symbol for tiger on banners hanging from the lanterns, for example. The hearts and lanterns together already ties the two holidays together enough, the cupid-tiger is like another shirt.

There's so much beautiful detail on the moon that I'd like to see some on the wolf.

Re: Cold Hearted

This is nice, good luck

The only thing that bugs me is that icebergs usually float with 2/3 under the water and 1/3 above, and you've got it reversed here. Silly I know! (Esp because the heart doesn't work without it like this)

Yeah, I agree, but I was feeling impulsive and random, so I left it alone-- it still has some kind of appeal, hehe

It looks equally good on Royal Blue and Baby Blue. I'll let shirt.woot decide which shirt stock they have more of. Maybe they could offer his and hers matching sets!

mikenytola wrote:I'm surprised at the things they are banning. Robots, Death an zombies have a lot more real estate around here, just less people whine about them. Robots are probably one of the biggest winners for a while now.

Banning text I can understand since it forces the designer to portray art to communicate what the text would be, thus being creative. Video games as well since they are already ideas somebody else created, thus a big limitation on creativeness. Most other long term bans are just stupid imo.

I have a feeling the video game ban is coming back real soon....

supersonic213 wrote:I love Kingdom Hearts as much as the next crazy fanperson... but I'm going to be confused if the rejectionator doesn't eat this for lunch soon. The Keyblade is a very specific property of SE and Disney. If there is parody here at all to protect it from copyright issues, it's not very convincing. It's just like plastering a 1-up mushroom on a shirt and trying to convince Woot to sell it.

Good to see some love for the series, but I think the concept needs to be implemented with some more creativity before it can be taken seriously as a contest contender.

currently playing the game myself.......again. I do have to agree with you on that, it could have some copyright issues but lets not stray from the fact that this is an uber awesome design

Jasneko thats awful .I have only been here one month and I can see that the competition is fierce but you are getting famous so don't worry. Also I have noticed some others have blogs where they sell stuff(prints, original artwork etc.) I am planning to try that as I paint wooden animals , maybe you should too(not paint wooden animals,,,you know! Sell prints.)Fear not, you have style baby!

The two humps of the heart should be the only parts sticking out of the water. I'm surprised I'm the first one to mention it.

I noticed that, too. It looks like the iceberg should be tipping over. It's way too top-heavy.

Also, the shadows are kind of creepy.

Also, what is everyone's fascination with penguins?

Ok, my other shirt is doing soooo poorly and I got bored so I ended up doing another. I hope you've all seen Kill Bill, bc it's a reference to that. I fell in love with the shape these hearts (pun intended) were making on the shirt. You guys should actually vote on this one.

Cool design! I was thinking of doing something with a FPPEHT reference, but couldn't think of anything solid. I think your comp is outside of the printable area though. It looks like some the heart is in the seam of the shirt's sleeve.

Yeah, poor sizing on my part it's on a 16 x 20 so it should be fine, just bad placing. Doh.
