You're steadily turning into one of my favorite artists here. I don't think ive seen a design of yours that I haven't liked. I like how your designs always seem to find either a perfect balance of cuteness, or they're so ridiculously over the top cute that its just fun to look at.

All Woot shirts say PANTS on them...... read the care tag.

I love the style and texture and big crinkled whiskers. I think this is the best done tiger-shirt in the derby.

Voted! This is very clever Travis, and personally I love the heather grey. It's very soft. Glad you went with that over the baby blue.

If I saw this shirt out in public, I'd just see it as an advertisement for the cereal, not a simple reference or parody... I can't see Woot wanting to sell this.

I love your linework and the style of the animals. Wish there was a bit more shirt color worked in somehow though, because it's a big image. Great style!

Irrelevant wrote:I have voted on designs by you in the past, but this is the first time - and i say this genuinely, not in any condescending way - where I really think you have the most wearble design in the field. Nice job.

This is your finest work in my opinion. The most complete piece I've seen you submit, and I hope it goes all the way.

Irrelevant/Brad - thanks so much, appreciate it. I had Bass on the colors with this one, maybe that's what I need to create very complete pieces;)
Thanks again!

It did look good on the cranberry too... it just popped more on black. Thanks for all your comments and support calindacat!

Lovengrey, please don't get upset, I just misunderstood where you were coming from with your original post, I thought you were defending Ramy's work, and calling it original and saying this was a copy.

I understand what you're trying to say with the halftones, etc, etc. =)

paigeg wrote:Yes, beautiful! But what color shirt are you working with? The design and the shirt mock-up don't match. Woot Rejectionator hates that. Also, is the placement deliberately off-center? You might want to fix the shirt color thing quick, so you don't get scrapped.

The shirt is asphalt. My drawing program is not always that good at color matching when resizing and is kind of running unstable right now anyway.

The slight off center is intentional. In Chinese art, the main subject is often placed off center. I have considered that this would keep the design from getting some votes, but I would like to see some old visual habits broken. I did consider adding some kind of border to the left to balance it, but I like it just the way it is.
