Re: Little Billy Seuss

I was going to redo this to have it for the birth of Dr. Suess which would of been a dragon. Instead I did this one for the date of his death. I just felt the goat fits his style more. I hope you all like it.

I think that this is a nice drawing. My only problem is that the dragon appears to have conflicting light sources.

Awesome! The French would call these animals "Cylonesque".

Thankyou, the lighting is intended to be coming from the top right. I'm not sure exactly what conflicting parts you're referring to, but the lighter outline I have against the shadows of the dragon is intended to be environmental lighting.

So there's a dragon, crying and eating ice cream. And this is desirable at all why?

Oh well, eat up Tiger... Cuz They're GREAT!!!

That tiger looks suspiciously like some mascot clip art one of my clients tries to push on schools all the time. I saw that too because the rest of the body doesn't seem to be in the same style...

You have to take into consideration that the dragon's top is turned, so it's not actually backwards.

But I do have to say -- the white blob of (ice cream, did you say?) stuff on the left is distracting and doesn't add to the design. I think it would look better without it.

I like! In an extremely abstract way, the green hill looks like a dragon. I'm not sure if you intended that to be the case at all, but I just thought I'd point it out in case you hadn't.

you might be safe.

i was really surprised with the ackbar print because george lucas is lawsuit happy normally so people shy away. teefury prints a lot of star wars, not sure how they get away with it. maybe lucas has lightened up since he made three stinker movies in a row.

the mario didn't surprise me because nintendo won't sue, mainly due to the fact they need all the mario imagery they can muster to keep the wii alive. without mario, nintendo would have never been, but the wii wasn't built to focus on him but to be a family experience, and now you see they have tailored the new mario game to be a family game. point is, nintendo could use all the publicity it could get, but bad publicity from a lawsuit would not look good.

good luck with kellogg. cookie monster was rejected originally, which is why it was resubbed face down.

edit: i am not implying cookie monster is kellogg or anything, just another example of where the character was too close to the real character and not enough parody going on....apparently.

Happy Beer.

When I saw this, I couldn't help but sigh. I admit, it looks a lot better than before, but still. A resub isn't really doing it for me.

Although I can't speak for anyone else, I like dragons and I like ice cream. I also find it endearing when animals are sad. I think the concept of being depressed and eating ice cream to make oneself feel better is well known, and that a normally ferocious dragon in the situation is an amusing juxtaposition. If you still don't really understand, it's best to just leave it. :P

Ok, so now the blob of ice cream looks way bigger than the container he's holding? I just don't get why it's there or why the proportions are so off.
