I am officially miserable. Pity can commence. Mom actually wanted to make her appointments for tomorrow. I told her later....like next week. Friday Yesterday I took pill of all symptoms. Didn't work. Today I took nothing. Didn't work. Plus, nothing horrible. Just a bunch of feeling yuck. I should take a shower. Did I mention that I hate this keyboard? Too flat.

I recently heard you shouldn't do the 8 glasses of water thing.
Now ABC is fighting with cablevision. How the hell do you take a basic , over the air, channel off the air? They know everyone would need a new antenna to see it over the air now.

so whose side are you taking in the dispute?
dontwantaname wrote:I recently heard you shouldn't do the 8 glasses of water thing.
Yeah, I've heard people backtracking on that. It's gotta be so different for every individual, though. Like, I work out a lot and I live in the desert. I probably need more than some folks, but not as much as...I don't know...some landscaping dude.

I had a nutritionist tell me, and have also read it several times, you drink water when you're thirsty. No one seems to know where that "eight glasses of water a day" came from.
Bummer, a platter I ordered from Corningware came in two large pieces. Difficult to serve things on.
Howdy, folks.

Luckily, places usually pay the RMA shipping for that kind of problem.

Howdy back. Pondering going home early.
ThunderThighs wrote:Luckily, places usually pay the RMA shipping for that kind of problem.
Nope, said they'd send another one immediately, and would tell them to wrap it better. To be honest, this wasn't wrapped as well as other items I've ordered from them.

Ponder on!!
I just had a great nap. That would make you feel better.

That happened to me with an order from Amazon. Ordered a ceramic baking dish and they sent it loose in a box with no padding. Cracked smack in half. Sheesh.

That would be the plan. Boss is gone for the rest of the afternoon and I would use 1.5 of my 3 hrs comp. Probably will.
For dname: I POSTED! Hi all, baby didn't sleep his usual last night and after 5 was up every hour or less. He also woke up at 2am, not his usual. Took kids to the library (all 3) with Orc. Hoping for a nap. . . . hmmmm

It's made up. no truth to it at all. same thing with Madagascar.
Trying something new for dinner tonight. Inside out cabbage rolls. Just kind of throw everything in together.
oh, and also Sirius. not a real star, just a smudge on a photographic plate.
Josephus wrote:It's made up. no truth to it at all. same thing with Madagascar.
Madagascar isn't real? It's on all the maps. Or is it like Never Neverland?

They are both wrong. Dolen who owns cablevision is an ass. Hubby audited them back when he was an auditor. He found them arrogant. ABC want $40 million for something that should be free. Disney was always a pay channel. I don't care about their other channels, expect for regular ABC Cable said ABC paid their president 70 million last year, while laying off reporters in their news division. Which we know because some of the people daughter met when she was there, were laid off. Of course, I bet Dolen got a huge amount of money too.
Where is everybody? I can finally sit up without being dizzy and you are gone?

I'm introducing my Mom to Torchwood.
It's a day! ..that's about it.

BBC spinoff of Doctor Who involving Captain Jack Harkness. It ran for a few seasons and LMR gave me copies of all of it. There is a rumor they are going to bring the main actor and a writer over and make an American version. . . it'll probably suck though.

It usually does. Did you start watching Faulty Towers yet? We found the kids liked it. Son liked the physical humor when he was little and daughter liked the accents. Got her a lead in the play in HS, just because she could do the accents.

No I need to. Orc has been renting a lot of stuff while Mom is here and the kids don't really watch much TV, they've been getting one or two videos at the library, but that's all they watch.
Is that the guy who thought he was Dr Who but wasn't?
Josephus wrote:Is that the guy who thought he was Dr Who but wasn't?
No, it's the guy they pick up during the London Blitz who used to be a time agent, dies fighting the daleks and is brought back to life by Rose and then keeps coming back to life every time he dies. Also known as The Face of Boe.
Hello. Granddaughter stopped to return a ratchet set and stayed for dinner and...just stayed. Nice.
Is this from the same place you posted the deal on?

nice! I took niece and nephew for dinner tonight. was fun. I also voted in my first primary today. I usually just vote in the actual elections.
kdccrosby wrote:Is this from the same place you posted the deal on?
Yes, but it was a platter that was shipped from a different place than the 1.99 items.
pooflady wrote:Yes, but it was a platter that was shipped from a different place than the 1.99 items.
Ah. I ordered some of the 1.99 items, and a 4 cup measuring cup that was also on sale.
Probably going to bed. Night all
