Just doesn't do it for me... That, and I hate-hate-hate squiggly lines(like those used for his torso/apron), it looks childish and silly to me; not in a good way.

No need to apologize for an opinion that's well thought out.
However, I think it's erroneous to suggest that anyone could come up with this. Again, that's a superficial view of the art. Not just anyone could come up with something this demented, conveying so much... well... happiness. I can see how it's not for everyone. Hell, if it printed, I doubt it'd sell well at all. But I don't think there's much real merit to the argument that anyone could come up with this.
