I love mythology, and especially a sea god design....if it is Poseidon, it is true that the trident should be spear like and have three prongs (tri), but perhaps it is Ægir (the Norse equivalent of Poseidon), in which case you can have him hold what ever you like in the name a artistic expression.
The details in the swirls of water imply depth and movement...and this design is not "girlie"!

Since mints do nothing to make this effect, and mentos do everything i think his parody works brilliants.

Is gravity, plus inertia (diagnol equation) combined with the equation for the longitudal wave (horizontal equation)
