New cave drawing was just found depicting what wives of the cavemen were doing while cavemen were wiping out the last Mammoth. The drawing shows the hunters' wives having coffee and chatting at the local coffee cave!

Jasneko, this is flat out brilliant. I personally like that even the reaction itself is best set in the time period. IMHO it is original work and should escape any copyright issues.

I'm sad this one's not getting the attention it deserves. It's cute, and detailed, and fairly original.

Freakin awesome design, too bad its on heather gray though. I would buy it in a heartbeat if it was on white or some other color.

I agree. the illo is awesome. But its fit in this derby is doubtful. It's a fairy-tale, made up to try to justify fitting with the theme.

No. Because there's no history being shown, and no "untold story" being shown along side it, your shirt isn't on theme. All your shirt has is a vague emblem representing a link between one long dead man and another very recently historical one. There is no attachment between the two that allows this to be on theme, and that is the only tenuous thematic link you have.

No, but it is off topic. Woot was pretty clear that they want to see something like what bystanders saw, a third-person vantage, a behind-the-scenes, a collateral damage, a man on the street view...
Again, not having read the previous post I can't speak to it specifically - that's by design since I know Adder pushes buttons. But I do agree that this shirt in no way gives a second look at a historical event.

I've come to the quick conclusion that, given the number of very nicely done entries that are beside the point, the rejectionator will not function. So we'll get cute, funny puns and revisionist views, etc. Instead of a real outside-in view of historical events.
>sigh< If I do finish my design tonite and get it subbed, it's gonna bore the crap outta everyone.

Drop Paul Stanley's star over 1 eye & then you have created a slighted different look, avoiding infringement.

You might wanna do a quick re-sub.... the light blue color you show in the background looks like the correct shirt color, but the actual shirt you show looks too aqua-y.

What am I missing? The theme is to make up a fairy tale, of what really happened. (It didn't really happen of course, but it is fun thinking that it might have!) I don't think that this version of the tea party could be more on theme.

I see this as being the unrecorded event that was the catalyst for what we know to be the Boston Tea Party. Unaccounted for eyewitnesses saw the tea-demanding monster, but he was left out of the history books.

Way to keep the colors simple. I think a little more ice would have been effective. Good work!

With a giant, monacle-wearing cat? I think that's taking alternative history to a pretty fanciful level, don't you?

Agreed, tho. This is way in the realm of alternative history. which is not what is being called for here.

Also, this is off-theme. How is this stepping back from a depicted event where perhaps things are more dull or wasn't recorded?
