I love the idea, but I can't help but think it'd be better without all the "People who like"s.

Shouldn't the presence of so much pop culture be an argument against having more of it? I just want to be sure I understand you correctly.

just my .02, but I think the style works well here, students can tend to stare blankly at teachers and the teacher turtle has a smile. it's simple and I prefer simplicity in a tshirt design, not full blown super complex designs

Re: Derby #122: Family-My Chinese Uncle

Which still makes this a fail - the Derby rules are pretty specific that the design has to be 'brand-spanking new'.

You need to specify which derby this is for. Since this needs to be in the title, I believe you need to withdraw this and resubmit

That aside - Got My Vote!

Thanks for the crit! I think I see a little of what you mean. I tried to get everything correct but alas, sometimes I miss things. Unfortunately I don't think I can resubb a fix at this point. I'm not sure if the design will hang on or not, but if not I will revisit it and see about that area.

Glad you like the image over all!

Thank you for your support everyone!

Really simple and charming! I bet this would be a great kids seller as well as being popular with the grown up Seuss fans.

For those of you that are below this shirt... It's the collapse of the Soviet Union.

I realize it's not a great design. It's my first on Shirt.Woot, so I'm just hoping to scrape together a few votes and hopefully I'll improve from here. Thanks for looking!

Yeah, I understood it without reading your explaination...I think it would get more votes if u thickened up the borders on it. Great concept and flags though . . .

DianaSprinkle wrote:It's the # symbol in the title. It breaks woot's code so when you reply, the quoted text for the shirt gets cut off and the image code never appears. =/

Basically it's not you, it's woot.

Ah... man, well that really really stinks! Would have been nice if they clarified this stuff when they wanted the derby in the title. Now all my entries don't post comments correctly unless you edit the code:/

loveengrey wrote:Ahhh I love this design. The rabbit in the back with its ears down is so adorable! Usually I don't like text in shirts, because I like the whole "show, not tell" thingy, but the text works for me in this one cause its simple.

Yay, thanks loveengrey! I'm not a huge text fan either usually, but thought the idea was supercute. You should check out the website!

kwilder wrote:I'm an spoon, what did you use to fix the thumbnail?

EDIT: I really dislike that they filtered "spoon" merely because now my use of the word "an" looks out of place.

LOL, it's really complicated. I hit the reply on a different shirt that doesn't have a # in the title and copied the code. Then I close that and replied to this one and pasted the code in and then I replaced all the info with this shirt's info. Basic manual fix, pain in the butt. =/

The problem is with the # symbol in the title itself so only woot can really fix it permanently. I'd suggest people avoid putting # into their titles.

Well... I'm really starting to hate this shirt. The file size of the comp was too big, and I just spent the last hour correcting it. Yeah. Also, the text is too blurry. So if you can't read the text, here it is, from top to bottom and left to right:

Brain
A.K.A: Main Monkey Lab
Purpose: Gather information from
the body's monkeys

Frontal Lobe
A.K.A: Imperial Monkey
Purpose: Direct all of the body's monkeys

Nervous System
A.K.A: Connector Wires
Purpose: Connect all parts of the body
to the Main Monkey Lab

Muscles
A.K.A: Gear System
Purpose: Move limbs

Lungs
A.K.A: Air Conditioning
Purpose: Spread fresh air to
the rest of the body

Heart
A.K.A: Generator Room
Purpose: Provide energy to the
rest of the body

Stomach
A.K.A: Cafeteria
Purpose: Provide monkeys
with sustenance

Well… You know what this is
A.K.A: Public bathrooms
Purpose: ...Monkeys have to go too, you know!
