snachreiner wrote:Great design Boots, one of the ones that I thought had both a really good design and still stayed within the theme. I hope it can get back into the fog, good luck

I don't think being in the fog matters much for this derby. Only one design is being chosen by voters. The other two are being chosen by Devo and woot staffers. So it is anyone's game.

Re: Car Diving (Please Vote Again)

I'm angry your first design was rejected it was probably my favorite design. I really hope this makes it back to the top, but right now the chances are looking slim.

parrotworks wrote:Bass - I need to chime in as well. Your work is always great but this new style -- in addition to working here -- seems like an awesome match for woot tastes. Hoping to see more imaginative pieces in the future. Good luck.

Thanks, Parrot. I hope to try this kind of design again in the future. I am truly surprised by the response, as I didn't know if a giant girl design would do this well, haha. I am very happy people have enjoyed it overall.

To everyone who commented or voted, thank you so much for your kind words. It has been truly uplifting! I've been a bit down and out as far as my art goes lately, so it's been wonderful to hear some encouragement. :D Enjoy the Devolution, it will be cool to see the outcome of the derby!

Actually she's supposed to be a mannequin.

You might check out http://www.emptees.com/ if you need some tatas to brighten up your day. The top loved shirt today is especially, errr, uncensored...

Thank you for the comment. (YAY! I got a comment!)
I was going for irony with the violence at the peace-and-love protests, as a form of protest itself, not to condone violence. Of course it's not going to be everyone's bag, but then, what shirt is?

Quite phenomenal!
I am not a designer but love the shirts that are produced through Woot!.

As a consumer...an avid Devo fan...and a plump round dirty spud...I would buy this shirt.

Well done !!

I want this shirt. It's so lovely it almost makes me want to either cry or listen to "Whip It".

I think I'll do both.

I think someone should sell me this shirt anyways. Copyrights are just another way the socialist governments keep everything under such strict control as to avoid any real advancement in society. Therefore, if you don't make this shirt for my purchasing enjoyment, you will be considered a communist and the Taliban will win.

I disagree. The Logo is intact, there is just some black silhouettes in front of it.

Re: De-evolution of the individual.

Honestly one of the best uses of the logo that I've seen. Doesn't try to advertise DEVO at all.. it looks like an actual logo.

I like the detail of adding the part numbers .

Yeah, even if this design doesn't succeed for this competition- I would still love to buy this shirt. Great design. I hope I can wear it at some point :-)

I like it, but why is that sapling so huge compared to the wagon train in the first frame? I mean they are both equally far out.

My mistake. The problem is, censoring something non-sexual (a mannequin) makes it sexual. I couldn't wear this in public. Also, I seriously wonder who the heck buys shirts like that one. Where do you wear that?

Well it's my first one, and I was kind of in a rush to produce something, glad it got a few votes, and judging by the fact it wasn't rejected, what I did was not wrong, but thanks for noticing my shirt!

This was my favorite out of all the Devo submissions. I saw it and wondered if it would pass the don't touch the logo rule. maybe had he put the red hat on it somewhere. or maybe on the back of the shirt. on the top.

Thanks.

This is probably one of my favorites. I'll be ordering it if it goes in to print, but until then, the large version is serving as my desktop. ;)

If im correct, i believe the view is that from a hill overlooking the setting. thats why the tree looks so large compared to the wagon.
