capedcrusader514 wrote:You have to have one logo that isn't warped. If you mess with other logos that's fine as I assume it would be like drawing the hat on a character or whatnot.

Ok, thanks. I played around with it and so far I can't get it to look truly recognizable. My perspective is closer to horizontal than vertical so it kind of "blobs" together. I'll try to play with it some more though.

bassanimation wrote:Someday my TomTom is going to do this to me...cause I yell at it..
Clever design!

How do we know these GPSs aren't already doing this? It is suspicious that they keep "accidentally" sending me through the worst parts of town, isn't it?

It also seems like some kind of explanation of how this represents de-evolution might be helpful. ^_^

if this was submitted as a daily and it was un-devo related without the hat i would buy it. dont think this will make it past the rejectioner though.

Good combination of W-T-F and simple color choice.

capedcrusader514 wrote:Thanks, I appreciate all the comments. I think it will survive the rejectionator as I see the shirts quite different. The similar shirts rule while certainly applicable I believe was put in place as a way of deterring shirts that are similar in both design and idea to other shirts. This shirt and the one mentioned use a similar object, certainly, but have different pieces, colors, execution and are used to display different ideas.

Again, thanks for the comments.

I hope you're right, CC - it'd be a shame!

They do, they usually give you a code for 3 free shirts for the artist. If you don't get the code and you have a print, always email the staff and they will help you!

You did a great job. It has a sort of cold, sci-fi feel about it, but not to an off-putting extent. The color scheme goes a long way to that effect.

I had read that it was ok to warp the logo onto an object or space as long as you didn't alter the logo's color or lines. But then I saw someone say you had to have at least one that wasn't warped. I'm not sure how it's working at this point, but I was (and still am) prepared to accept a rejection if they chose to do so.

i think it is because that is has changed a little bit young people see love differently, education for some of them is not so important any more, all they want now to be as movie stars, football or over sport players... And in this way future is in danger.

I also read somewhere that people who read fiction tend to be more empathetic. Probably something to do with seeing things from another perspective.

Anyway, nice illustration. The colors and floating nature of the hair almost make it look like they're underwater. I love the symbolic nature of the bubbles too.

You two should honestly start an design agency together. Between the two of you, you have more illustration skill than most people would know what to do with. Your styles realy mesh well. You two would rock at general ad work, books, maybe posters... I bet you could make a decent attempt at it anyway. Just a thought.

Thanks KtC! Funny story. Interesting thing about being a professor is I don't have to wear ties anymore. As my students could attest, I've been known to wear a Woot shirt to class.
