Re: Know your bard.

You say there are no known performances of Macbeth during Shakespear's life time. It should say there WERE no known performances. You were in present and then past tense. You need to pick one.

Sweeping, maybe because of the quill, but in a grand style.

Re: Shakespeare Suicide Squad

I was trying to identify the 2nd person from the left, when I found this quote - which may or may not be true.
"Suicide occurs an unlucky thirteen times in Shakespeare’s plays. It occurs in Romeo and Juliet where both Romeo and Juliet commit suicide, in Julius Caesar where both Cassius and Brutus die by consensual stabbing, as well as Brutus’ wife Portia, in Othello where Othello stabs himself, in Hamlet where Ophelia is said to have "drowned" in suspicious circumstances, in Macbeth when Lady Macbeth dies, and finally in Antony and Cleopatra where suicide occurs an astounding five times (Mark Antony, Cleopatra, Charmian, Iras and Eros)."

Re: Read The Whole Book!

After several disappointing dailies, and derbies about topics I didn't really care about (DEVO? Really, guys?), this is the first shirt in a long while that I would actually buy. I hope this one wins, so I can do so! Excellent, excellent job.

Re: Perchance to Dream

This is really nice. I like the feeling of this design; also, I think this works well on a blue shirt. Might be one of the only blue shirts I'd wear.

I really like how you did this, however, I think I would like it without the text.

I have like 10 people I told about this shirt and they are all in for one, I hope it wins to restore the Woot honor that has been missing from the shirt site for a few weeks now.

So it is boughten.... So it must be paid off with a second job!

Extra "a" before "Moor"; "conconsensus"; bad typography, with font sizes changing arbitrarily within each blurb... the idea is fine, but the execution is terrible.

Wow, love it! And the character interactions take it to another level too.

Love this shirt, love the colors, love the use of the squares to set off the vertical. Great gift for writer/editor/English-major-with-no-job friends.

No quality posts, but plenty of quality purchases.

Re: Out Damn'd Spot!

I sat down and revised it: I took the idea of Lady MacBeth's revelation of guilty conscience as my inspiration, and combined it with the 1950s cleaning ad style from magazines. I hope you enjoy it!

If anyone is curious as to "why hemlock?", it's one of the many ingredients in the three witches' cauldron at the beginning of the play.

I guess using words that appear on another shirt qualifies as "similar shirt." Thanks to everyone who voted for my shirts and allowed me to experience my first time in the fog for a solid 24 hours! It was fun while it lasted

I love it Jaden, Macbeth is a personal favorite. Have you ever seen Kurosawa's "Throne of Blood," it's a Japanese take on Macbeth.

Great take, love the detail and attention. Also very wearable, which isn't always the case with the coolest designs.

So my wife (an English major) took a look at my shirt (all three versions) for the first time this morning. She proceeded to smack me on the back of the head and call me an "imbecile"...

so here is a fully corrected shirt... unless I've screwed up again, I am only human you know...

This is an amazing design! Macbeth is probably one of my favorite Shakespearean tragedies and this really shows the mood of the play. I really hope this gets made, I am definitely buying one.
