Re: City Living

I love the glints of color on here, jasneko. What a sweet design.

Maybe I'm very tired, but I was sitting staring at it expecting the characters to move. :^) It's that perfect little snapshot of life quality that it has. (Or my lack of sleep.)

Voted.

I love this design, but I don't think it works on the green.

Re: City From the Magic Box

I was thinking about doing a design like this... aerial city night lights.. sans box... the box adds a nice element to it, very nice!

Vote!

My thoughts exactly.

The illustration is eye catching and the colors are great, but I really think the theme is lost here. Without the title, it looks to be off-topic.

Parody issues aside, this looks like it was slapped together by a 6-year old fiddling around with microsoft paint for the first time.

No offense to the artist, but that's what it looks like. For many voters, the only criteria for a vote seems to be "hey, I recognize that!"

He posted sketches in the forum but I doubt this is printable.

ThatPoshGirl wrote:I like this, but I think it would be better without the text, and if it was less of a giant rectangular block of ink.

Yeah, it seems most people dislike "framed art" shirts here. I like them, so I choose to create it this way, but it doesn't win me any awards in this contest. I guess self-gratification is more important to me than winning.

The text is questionable, but when I hide it, it feels like something is missing down there. It seems to make the dimensions of the piece more appealing.

I know, I know... I'm stubborn (unless I am being paid for my work). Regardless, thanks for the feedback! I do appreciate it and consider it for future projects.

AdderXYU wrote:I don't hate to say I told you so, but since you probably expected it anyway, it's a moot point.

I told myself. I think that the design was, and since no changes were made is, completely generic and absolutely off topic. It's actually beyond off topic. As other have said, it is intentionally the opposite.

We have a first place winner!

It's too bad the theme is "Cities," huh? I feel like the staff should be able to read...

It's almost as if he wanted to see if he could get away with it. I hope the rejectionator comes down hard on this design.
