Forgot to comment on this earlier. Good job on the lighting, just be sure that on your half tones you don't make them too fine, keep to 40-45 LPI max. It looks like you went a little smaller then that on this. Great job though guys.

Sorry you didn't get a chance to get this up sooner. I know how that goes. One thing I wish was a bit different I think is the stripes on the vomit to be vertical instead of horizontal but thats just me. Good job

WOW! I love obscure. I would have to say that >^.^< iiieeeeeee!!!! is cute...however it is represented. I guess my only advice is that, for a derby, I would spell it out in the comment section of your submission and also in your first comment. Let the wearers of your shirt explain it. Don't make the voters and the rejectionator have to guess what it is.

I wanted to design something that was knowingly cute but not cynical, and even though it didn't make the cut I'm happy it's exactly what I wanted it to be. ^_^

Thanks, Tjost! Just wasn't my week. I knew going in that this choice might not stand up to the cute animal entries. But I'm happy the image is out of my sketchbook and alive in digital form now.

I just noticed BTW, the shark is slightly darker then the blue in the rainbow by doing a diagonal line pattern with the blue ink against the blue shirt. While thats a cool visual technique, I think you made the lines too thin, and that causes all sorts of press troubles. The Victorian Velociraptor print from a couple months back did a good job using that effect but with circular lines I think. I know that printed well, and I think that would be a good gauge on line thickness to achieve you desired effect. Keep up the awesome work though!
