I know it's a complaint on an otherwise amazing design, but I really would vote for it if it weren't on asphalt

No offense, Inkwiz. you are good artist and all, about time you retire this design, man. Coz, this has been rejected like a trillion times.

Walmazan, you always manage to hit on universal themes that a broad audience can identify with. The style and presentation warrant all the votes you are picking up.

MathUhhhSaurus wrote:text is allowed this derby

Text is NOT allowed EXCEPT for the number 3. So the plus sign isn't allowed.

In addition, presenting two different shirt colours will get you rejected. You have to choose one. If you want to offer both, you'll have to make them separate entries. Not sure how you can get around the text issue though...

That's a sweet design! I particularly like the first froggy, although all of the characters are nice and expressive.

Cute storyboard. I also like your artistic style...reminds me a bit of Van Gogh.

theWanker wrote:Nice design. But I agree the colors are pretty badly chosen.

"Peace" shouldn't be black. Grey is a grim color of a shirt for such a cheerful message. The red is too "firey", when it should be warm but not dangerous. The yellow is too--actually, keep the yellow.

Plus, combined the color combinations just don't work well. Check out kuler.com for some ideas. Or switch to a more 1960's hippy kind of color combination.

You definitely should have some green in there--you are using a recycling logo with no green, which just seems wrong.

It's a really cool idea, though. With different colors it'd be a pretty marketable idea.

Thanks so much for the feedback. I'm playing around with the colors and I just can't seem to get it to work. I'll keep messing with it and hope to have a version 2 up. I appreciate the help! Choosing colors always seems to be the hardest part for me.

Ooh I'm in the fog :D thanks for your support!

Hopefully the plus sign will make it through, but if not I'm sure I can modify it. I think the rule was put in place to stop people writing entire essays on their shirt designs!

Sorry guys I also didn't know only one colour was allowed, so if it makes it through it'll likely be black.

Cheers!

Re: Pigz N The Hood

Sorry to see you fall from the fog. Real nice work.

Every time I look at this I try to cram straw, wood, brick into the design: the pig with a straw in his mouth, paneling on the car...I'm probably over thinking it. Two cents to cash in for what it's worth.

Re: Peace, Love, and Happiness (V.2)

This is a greener, lighter version of my previous entry found here. http://shirt.woot.com/Derby/Entry.aspx?id=44045

Thanks to TheWanker for helping me with color advice! I went with the heather grey shirt because the design colors truly did not look good on any other shirt color. I also played around with the saturation so the red and yellow are not as bright.

Please vote if you like this version! Thanks in advance
