Kind of appropriate considering the anniversary of the atomic bombings in Japan.

Just went to Hiroshima two days ago and Nagasaki today. Very interesting place and this shirt reminded me of the destruction that occured there 65 years ago.

This is the darkest shirt I've seen on Woot, even though it's on bright yellow. Wow.

Although it's not for me it clearly resonated with a lot of Wooters and variety is what this site is all about. Congratulations to specsmachine for the powerful illustration!

Ahh finally, there is time enough at last ...

I'm surprised this one came in third. I actually really like it, it just didn't seem that woot-friendly to me. Congrats on the print!

Way to keep it classy. :/

I think this is actually a great shirt for the anniversary. It's a stark reminder of the power and danger of atomic bombs, and their intimate relation with war. Tells us there are some things we shouldn't mess with. Also, it's not really up to Woot which shirt prints and when, is it?

if it wasnt for the ugly yellow color of the shirt I would get it.

I'm really sorry, but honestly, I just don't think this shirt is for me. I really wish the Solar System had won instead of this one. Sorry.

I agree, but what collars should have been used? i mean black and yellow are collurs of radioactivity

Don't care for the color or the design. Funny, cute, and now morbid. Physics derby had all three.

Perhaps the opposite. The black parts yellow and the yellow parts black?

Wow. I'm shocked too. Thanks everyone for the support and the critiques, both positive and negative. I received a lot of good advice and I plan to utilize it in future entries (most of which aren't morbid or memorializing.) The feedback has been most helpful.

It's a memorial, and the timing is beautiful. I'll gladly accept the blame.

Haha @ llandar.

And yes, it's not like it's a pro-bomb shirt. It's got quite a message.

Glad to see this one made the cut. And I like that a different color was used for the shirt, nice to see something other than asphalt. Lets see more variety.

The Experimental MIRV from Fallout 3 can spray more than that in one shot.

And while I'm beating the Fallout references to death in this thread:

That soldier's got some fat-man sized stones to chill in the middle of a nuclear apocalypse. I think I'll call him Mister Gutsy.

Or maybe it's just Ralph Keller.

I think this is actually why I'm not buying this one. I've got the same issue with those Christmas ties extended family always mail you for a Christmas gift. Do you wear them for 2 weeks of the year?

I love the simple elegance of this design.

Unlike a Christmas tie, it works any time of year and makes a decidedly anti-war statement. I don't see how that's so offensive...unless you're one of those "let's bomb everybody" types. In that case, you'd love this, too.

I'll echo that it's nice to see a color other than asphalt, black, or blue, and yellow works here. I'm in for one, and out of ~40, I think it's my first yellow shirt.woot.
