Let's assume that woot will let me correct that color in the print-ready file, and believe that it is just an accidental miscoloring on my part. Seriously, though, it's OK with me if they insist on printing that one little bit of green, but I did intend to remove it. With that bit of green fluff, I still have only six colors, so it won't disqualify the design.

Re: Oh, the huge manatees! un-green version

The one good thing about the green is that it lent some contrast to this shirt. Now it will be hard to see the manatees until people get close up.

Slippery slope, bootsy. Be careful.

I was trying for a contrast between the icky stick figures and the man. Like the two dimensional world popped out and is attacking all things normal. Maybe I should have made the man more realistic looking. Yeah, looking at it again, I should have done him in a detailed sketchy style, like a medical illustration. That would have gotten the point across better. Stupid Boots.

Perhaps the real issue here is that you do not see why Teletubbies represent the end of the world.

Dang, that's clever. Great execution, too.

edit: Just read through this thread. I guess I'm less enthusiastic about the cleverness if two other people had the idea. Well, this is still well done.

Re: The end of the world series

Beamed the batter! Clever!

You may know this already, or you may not care, but there is a quick, easy way to remove the roughness of you scanned line work (*Note*-I'm judging by the big fireball in the corner because it is too small to notice on the shirt). My line work use to always do this and it ANNOYED me greatly.

Heres my little tip... use it... don't use it, but I wish someone told me this years ago.

-Plop your freshly scanned line art into illustrator
-Select your line art using the "Selection tool" (should just be one click for the
whole image)
-On the top menu, hit the button that say "live trace"
*This turns your line art into vector art. The top menu will have
new options now
-Turndown the threshold (around 128 or so) and the min area (about 10x-
very low)
-Save and import it into whatever program you prefer.

After doing that your lines will be a lot smoother even in extreme close ups (such as the fireball in the corner).

Is it odd I find this shirt sexy? Because something about the longing portrayed makes me want to find the artist(s) and love the hurt whole again.

Fortunately for the artists, I'm old, fat and happily married enough that that particular vision is even less likely than death by duck. ;)

May I ask the folks voting for this why? I have a Star Wars geek husband, and I understand the love for all things related to a degree...

but what do you specifically like about this shirt?

I'm really trying to understand this one, because I feel as though I don't get it.

If it doesn't print here, alter the cities shown to reflect LA, and submit it to the SF Giants baseball club. Their popular player is known as Panda, and the image of him crushing rival cities would be well-received I'd imagined.

Re: Velociraptors

Gah, I wish your thumbnail was of the black or red Velociraptors. The white one's foreshortening on the head rather bothers me and I think the other two are so much cooler looking. I really like the shirt over all. It's really neat looking. LOL sorry you made the thumbnail out of the one bit that bothers me in the image. =P The way you've drawn the guy's riding them is also great. GMV! Good luck!

Agreed. The red outline around the manatees is also disconcerting.
