Ok. From the description of the derby it said "... So for this week's Derby theme, show us how it's going to go down. ..." That's why I thought it needed to be a how...I was just asking

Yeah, read about that this week. Sadness. Although, what's confusing about it is Google is actual pro net neutrality. I believe the term misleads people because what it basically means is they want no govt action involved in the internet, thus letting private industry take control of it.

@bassanimation, gee thanks. ^_^ I didn't know whether people would get behind this kind of mix of styles and moods. So I already feel lucky with the response.

@odysseyroc, twenty-six straight weeks! I've gone a full six months without missing a derby. I don't know if I've brought the quality every week but I've always showed up. :p

@paulkremer, thanks so much for your generous thoughts! That's the kind of post a designer can go back and feel good about, whatever happens in the end.

@BaldBob007, well I figured Cotton Candy was the one kind of red/pink that anyone could enjoy wearing. ^_^

Am I just harshing my mellow and missing something, or... Why can't I tell the difference between famine and pestilence? The scales and archer rig are not allegorical refrences I'm familiar with.

Oh man yeah, those bird-type masks that people wore to avoid catching the plague. Sooo scary.

It's a tough break that there are a few four horsemen shirts this week, but you've drawn it well TS! :^)

Your style is infectiously envious. I abandoned vectors on this entry just because it takes me TOO long. Your ability to put out such quality work in such a short timespan is amazing. I definitely tip my cap to you, and throw a vote your way.

Hey thanks, specsmachine! That's very kind of you. Yes mostly vector this week although sometimes I just work in PS. My programs are crazy old and temperamental so I tend to wing it with whatever works. :p

Your lines & shading look really good. I can't believe it's just three colors.

BTW, good to see your Nuclear Physics has sold over 1800 shirts! You should put an image link in your sig to make sure more people see it this week.

Pestilence always has a bow and arrow, while Famine always carries a scale indicating the way that bread would have been weighed during a famine. The only fault I really see is that the War Horseman is usually depicted with a massive sword. I am not 100% sure what he is carrying.

@ specsmachine - i was in 4H when i was younger and used to show horses, they gave us tests on the anatomy so i think its hardwired into my brain now, haha. =) thanks for noticing!

@Spiritgreen - you know you want to come to the darkside, come on...we got cotton candy ;)

@ AcorNayho - *blushes* you humble me sir. =)

@ gijoe317 - thanks! i am a fan of the heavy metal.

@ wotto - thanks, i am a huge fan of your work! =)

@trixydan - you are right the riders i wanted to keep kinda the same, just a big dark menacing shapes, the things they are holding are supposed to tell them apart, also i made their horses fit them too. famine is on the far left and pestilence is on the far right. I did little things like made famines horse skinnier and his hood is looser like hes skinnier than the others, hes also holding the scales that he usually does they represent the way they would scale bread for during a famine. pestilence can also be righteousness so i made his like a king and he has a fancy horse. his bow and arrow are from artemis whos arrows were said to cause plague. =) hope that helps! thanks for the comment!

and thanks to lkackman, fishbiscuit5, elviswind, nathanwpyle, imsochady, and bass!

you are right, but the sword wasn't really fitting with my composition so i made it a blood splattered axe, makes it more brutal somehow ;)

Re: The Four Seahorses of the Apocalypse

I once read where the original Greek meaning of (the KJV's) "pale horse" (from the Book of Revelation) is "green horse" ... and lo and behold, you've done green on the pale horse. What are the odds? I think you already knew somehow.

Good job. Voting now.

PS: I just looked it up. The New Revised Standard Version of the Bible says "green horse" (Revelation 6:8), and in Strong's Greek lexicon the word "pale" leads to entry #5515:

5515. chloros, khlo-ros'; from the same as G5514; greenish; i.e. verdant, dun-colored:--green, pale.

Lurking until the right time to swoop.
