In retrospect, I hope Boots didn't take offense to my comment. I have yet to submit any designs, and therefore have no room to criticize. Boots puts out great work on a weekly basis and I admire her for that.
No offense at all. I don't think critics need to be able to do the thing they're criticizing, anyway. It might even be better if they don't. I know that sometimes when I look at a piece I can be swayed when I think about how easily I could or couldn't do something like it myself, or how long I think it took the artist, rather than what the finished product is. And that's not good.
