I expected this artist to choose Mothman, actually.

Re: Fairy wings

Thanks Walmazan and bassanimation :D

I'm still looking for a stile for woot. After this, I know one that doesn't work here hehe

I think that I'll delete this before the 24h to submit it somewhere else

Re: The Early Bird Catches the Minhocão

Not sure I like the part of the worm that's underground. It's very busy and the harsh angles on some of the body make for a poor visual flow. Your eye is completely drawn to the middle and bottom of the design, which is way less important/appealing than the top part. Good work overall, just has some composition issues for me personally.

You're right about the breasts. I didn't notice it at first because I was a bit too caught up with the big phallic bug corpse. But, because of the perspective, her right breast looks way bigger. I mean, I know that women generally have one bigger than the other, but, that's gotta make it hard to find a bra.

Re: Fairy wings

I see the mistake in the breast area as well. That is a very hard area to draw on the female human figure. It's a great image in itself, perhaps the artist can revisit it later to fix the error.

I would also suggest altering the butterfly's body. It is a bit rigid looking for an organic creature.

Yes, you're probably right about the breast, I need to make some change to make the sizes fit. I've been always awful drawing it... Anyway, I know that any change in this part isn't going to give me 900 votes haha

About the phalic bug...haha I can't do anything to change that! that's the shape of a real butterfly :P

thanks for your comments

It's her dress. The left breast (our left) is more covered than the right. If he/ she lowered the dress on the left breast, then they probably wouldn't have that weird feeling that has offset a few of you.

...or you could even have the rights strap come off, wrapped around her shoulder/ arm, so there is a visible reason why the right side is less covering.

I think that made sense...

Anyhoo... this is truly a great piece. I dig it!!!

In the top left corner above the picture, you should see a box that says "I'D WANT ONE". Click on that, and you have voted

The giant squid has been discovered and identified as a real species. We know it exists.

I can allow giant squids, as former cryptids until recently, or even based off krakens and similar sea monsters. My issue with this design, though, is that there is no size scale to even say this is giant. This could be a tiny squid.

Even so, this whole fog full of Really Big Regular Animals is ineffably lazy, and speaks volumes about woot voting.

I do realize that butterflies (and dragonflies and other lovely buggies) come in that shape. But maybe (for when you resubmit elsewhere), you could move where and/or how she's holding it? Just an idea. Or maybe I need to find a different home for my brain instead of the gutter. But the gutter is so lovely. :-)

I like this shirt because it'll make my friends stop and try to look at my shirt to find the cryptids, but I'll never remain still long enough for them to find it (:

This kelpie doesn't appear to be as violent as normal kelpies, but it might be contemplating pulling that poor horse underwater. It's hard to say.

chumpmagic wrote:Granted, this piece was partly inspired by Limbo, but there is no direct connection whatsoever. It is original, and if you viewed more of my artwork, you would know that it's all my style as well. The environment, the character, the lighting, and Will-O-Wisp are nowhere in the game (to my knowledge... I haven't completed the game yet, so there is still stuff to see).

If I didn't mention something in the pre-thread, then most probably wouldn't have noticed. They are drastically different. I hope your not searching for an excuses to give this piece the boot... sadface.

I only became aware of limbo recently. I learned of it independently of any mention here on woot, but as soon as I saw the game I though, "That shirt on woot is a reference to limbo."

The woot rejectionator will probably make the same connection. Considering they have rejected shirts for less, I wouldn't be surprised if you find your design reject come Monday.

I've been rejected out of the fog, so I know how much it sucks.

Best of Luck!

Nice work. Defiant buy.

An option may have been to orient the sub to the left, like on some knit shirts, so it looked like he was attacking a logo. I say it since the sub really pops like a logo, and is near the level of where logos go on some shirts.

Just to clarify; the Latin by itself wouldn't be bad except the translation would occasionally mess with initial letter.
