Yeah, I was going more for the 'naga hide' side of it, because my family told me that fake leather and stuff like that was called Naga Hide

Aww... Don't say that. It's a fantastic shirt! It might become the first shirt I buy. I'd definitely vote if I could. Sorry

Not something I could wear methinks, but it's excellent artwork! And I'm always glad to see a moonlit scene.

Lagbert wrote:I only became aware of limbo recently. I learned of it independently of any mention here on woot, but as soon as I saw the game I though, "That shirt on woot is a reference to limbo."

The woot rejectionator will probably make the same connection. Considering they have rejected shirts for less, I wouldn't be surprised if you find your design reject come Monday.

I've been rejected out of the fog, so I know how much it sucks.

Best of Luck!

We could argue about this all day, but you are right, it come down to what Woot thinks. Hopefully, they can see it what it is; not a reference but a simply a source of inspiration. Nothing I have created exist in Limbo.

Thanks for your concern.

I thought it was asphalt at first, but closer examination at night without any glare on my monitor and I can maybe see dark green.

I'd be MUCH happier with olive, I have enough asphalt shirts! Artist to clarify plz.

i know the feeling, i wasnt as young when i moved here but i was all by my lonesome and definitely terrified! i love your stuff and i can totally see you working for film roman, lots of talented people there. you might be better off though, la corrupts people, since living here i've started yelling at people in cars while driving, drinking huge amounts of cafinee, and my self esteem has suffered a bit with all the drop dead gorgeous waitresses around waiting for their big debut into acting. ;)

I'll need a confirmation on the color of shirt. I thought it was certainly brown, but given other comments, I think it requires clarification. If I don't have clarity, I'll have to reject.

Since I did this for another design, I'll give you until Monday morning to clarify the color this is supposed to be. I can see asphalt, but it's definitely not our approved template. If I don't get clarity, I'll have to reject.

AdderXYU wrote:I can allow giant squids, as former cryptids until recently, or even based off krakens and similar sea monsters. My issue with this design, though, is that there is no size scale to even say this is giant. This could be a tiny squid.

Even so, this whole fog full of Really Big Regular Animals is ineffably lazy, and speaks volumes about woot voting.

While I understand your point about a giant otter not really fitting with the theme, the bottom line is that whether or not some entries are suitable for the derby, they are interesting shirts. Personally, I love this design, and I'm not going to ignore it as a t-shirt simply because it doesn't have an appropriate "size scale." Looking back at the first cryptozoology derby, the winners were, quite frankly, harshing my mellow. They went well with the theme, but they aren't great shirts.

When you're putting on one of the derby winning shirts, you can either think "Man, this is a really cool shirt!" or "Man, this is an ok shirt. It's not as good as some of the other entries from the derby, but it definitely fit the theme better!"

And that's the bottom line.

Oh, wow. I have to have this.

Though, it would be nice if kdeuce could confirm that the shirt's actually brown. Woot has printed on the wrong color in the past because it wasn't clear enough (Monasty Boy printed on brown instead of green).

You mean you don't know him? Let me jar your memory- Swims like a whale, coat of white fur, a trunk like an elephant, a tail resembling a lobster? Surely you remember now. Oh! He fights Orca whales. That's Trunko. You can read up on him here- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trunko

And view him in Hi-Res glory here-
http://i566.photobucket.com/albums/ss104/bikini_bottom_blitz/high_res_trunko.png

This wasn't an easy photo to get mind you- people say he "hides from us".

Changing the subject, I'm having trouble separating the colors into separate layers on a PSD. If only i had known this earlier.... His fur always causes problems. Sometimes i wish he was more like a normal whale.

Feedback and advice much appreciated!!! Thanks for looking.
