This rocks.
I love the use of the black shirt for all of the shadows. And took me a second before I noticed the cat and flower shadows...excellent touch. Excellent job!

This is GREAT! Never thought I'd want a shirt with a cat on it.

Fantastic job!

What I see here is a yellow scribble that has hopped away from me (the viewer) making splashes in the puddles along the way, and it's raining. I like the composition and the splashes and the color and the focal point of the yellow scribble. I just don't know what the yellow scribble is supposed to be, so the design just doesn't wow me.

If the water and splashes were more scribble style, then I might not care what the yellow bit is. Or if I could see that it was a rubber duck, or the sunshine, or whatever, then I might be able to fill in a story but now it's just too abstract.

But I applaud your efforts! I haven't gotten up the nerve yet!

Re: Sponge Rain Horror

Sponges "die" when then they dry out. so the wet sponge would be in far better shape than a dry sponge.
(I'm a Marine bio major and a man of logic, so I'm picky about these things.)

The thing I like about this is that it's artistic without all the cutesie-ness. For that alone it deserves to win.

A perfect addition that wasn't in your pre-derby sketch. I'm liking it.

Thanks.
Actually I redrew all the kids seperately and put them all together in to the one image.
Helped give them individuality.
Having the kid face-palming actually was my way of alluding this old guy may be his grandpa... I'm just sayin'.
I really put too much thought into this.

only people who have made purchases at a woot site can vote, so your white square says you can't.

I thought that rule meant no finding inspiration from existing video games and not the style of the design (like stars wars rule).

Love this, and the rain looks really cool! As stated before, the expressions are perfect. I just adopted a kitty. She has some pretty AMAZING expressions, lol

hehe maybe they will. Thanks Jessebyah, and congrats on your kitty!! They do have fantastic expressions:D

avhienda01 wrote:Haha, I really like the expression on the moody kitty at the bottom. Love the texture you used for the rain! Looks really cool

hehe yeah he got a bad deal - the bottom AND rain in his face. Thanks on the texture too

Calvinball!:D You should have seen the first game I did, it was a mouse/calvinball version of chess;)

lovettmann wrote:I love this! The colors, the mouses with their coffee and looks on their faces, and the mushroom, too. (And I hate mushrooms.) Please win!

I like it when people take the time to draw a second symmetrical side, rather than cut and paste the first. Makes all the difference.

Re: Imagine

I really like the art style and think the bottom half looks great but the top part confuses me. It looks like the bird is plunging down onto the girl, but I also get the impression that the rain coming down onto the umbrella is bouncing back up and forming the bird. Not sure which way it is meant to be seen. I also don't think it looks right as a bird, but I don't know if something else would look better or not.

Re: Last Day at the Beach

This is pretty cool. I like the misty part...almost looks glittery...

One thing, the girl that is standing seems to have arms that are too long or legs that are too short...Maybe it's just me, but her hands seem to hang down to her knees, while she's standing...

Still, good work and way better than I could do.

Re: Hippie Shower

I'm a little bummed that this one dropped out of the fog, but at the same time, I am really glad people enjoy it. In the past, I normally get criticized for not centering or creating an unorthodox design. This one is doing way better than I had foreseen!

Thanks again for everyones wonderful feedback, comments, and votes!
