I absolutely love this--it's hilarious, well-done and a great use of the space/colors.

The sad thing is this will probably get more votes than the original one, and people won't even know they're by the same designer.

I had a good lawl though.

Yeah, I put it up as sort of a science experiment, to see if I could do a worse version of a design and get more votes.

This is a really beautiful shirt. It's quite stunning. Very peaceful. There are some elements of un-reality (e.g. fence and various body parts out of proportion or at the wrong angle, shadows in the rain) that make it more abstract / less representational. I just came back from seeing umpteen icons in Italy, where the goal was to show the subject in a spiritual, transported state; being "representational" was not the point, and would have been distracting. This is a great modern re-interpretation of pre-renaissance religious iconography. Did you intend that?

Agreed, though I like the grey version better as a shirt too.

Hate the name, but like the image. I disagree with those that say you shouldn't have put this on red. I think it looks great on red. Not enough people use red. Well done.

Love the original image; thanks for making a tribute. The comments above may well be right about the laws, Woot rules, etc. But since you introduced this as a tribute and showed the original, right off the bat, there is no deception and no ethical violation.

Re: Jeremiah's Epic Adventure

In the actual Print design the small grey section of the plane is the correct color, also some of the black lines separating shading have been fixed.

This is my first submission so please vote!

Oh thanks! It's not just you, the cat head is weird for some of my friends too. But once I started to see both(?) versions I sort of liked that it could be different depending on who looks at it. So I left it alone.

Also since everything was done with a brush, it refused to be fixed in the computer. =/

megsck wrote:lovely! and i love the texturing, i need to learn how to do that! =) also, about the head, its obvious that cats hate rain so his ears are back and he definitely has one of those mean cat expressions. =)

All of this was done with a brush pen very loose and quick to get a dry brush effect out of it. It's two seperate pieces put together, the cat and the swirly eye shape. The rain is a photoshop brush.

I'm glad you like it.

bassanimation wrote:A few people didn't like the Deva design due to the perception of nudity as well. I think this is a lovely image, and to me the female figure almost looks sort of like a chrome statue. Her hair, face, and legs are stylized in a way that suggests this isn't a real nude person so much as a representation of a female human figure.

yeah, i think it depends on the mood of the rejectioner, my fall of man people were really stylized but it got nixed for not being pg-13, and they had their parts covered by leaves! i agree though, this looks more like a statue to me but even if it wasnt im not offended by it nor do i think its too risque'
