I'm not threatened. I'm a terrible artist and have never claimed to be otherwise.

I think one of these derbies, I'll draw two shirts, and put on one of them that it was made by a child and see how many more votes that garners than the one made by an adult.

This was one of two shirts in this derby I would have worn on my vacation to England in a couple of weeks. i'm sad this dropped out of the fog and I'm sad that i now have nothing to wear for the trip.

I think there are usually too many dark shirts on shirt.woot. That's what usually keeps me from buying a lot of designs I actually like, so I'm fine with the color of this.

To this I say, why not? It's an adult contest. All entries should be judged the same. I'm a terrible artist, but if I put in an entry shouldn't I be judged on the same merits as someone who's got a degree in graphic design? Why make an exception for one and not the other? And yes, sTyLeS, if I were to do that, which I never would, it would be deceitful. But I betcha the votes would confirm what I'm saying - people are voting because of the "awww" factor, not because they really want to purchase it.

I'm all about supporting and encouraging your kids in following what they love. Heck, I'm a former teacher so love seeing talents nurtured. I'm not a kid-hater. I just got turned off when I saw that in the title.

Thanks, I realized once I put all the elements together that the background pieces should have appeared much larger/at a lower angle. Still, I took away a learning experience to keep me goin for next week!

everyone knows that thunderstorms are caused by angry thunderpandas. the entry shows what thunderpanda does on a rainy day (in fact, the rainy day is because of thunderpanda) so is on topic. navy shirt, six ink colours: black, white, gray, electric blue, brown and light brown.

That's your opinion. Similarly, I don't get why anyone would want to wear this as a shirt. It's all a matter of personal tastes.

I love the feel of this illustration. How did you get the variation you did with each color? (i.e. the lines of the umbrella vs. it's fabric) Are those half-tones, or just differences in saturation?

For some reason this one takes reminds me of my fondest moments growing up. Rain pouring outside, a cup of cocoa, biscuits and watching a video, playing checkers or snakes and ladders with relatives... Nice on Jas! :D

Not "judged" as in, get me your votes. Judged as in the comments received. Of course he's not getting votes just because it's a kid, and if he is, it's negligible. I meant the comments he receives should take into account his age.

I haven't seen one rejection yet this derby... I don't know where they rejectors are, but normally, having a thumbnail image on a different color than the shirt composition is grounds for rejection.

One of mine got rejected for this awhile back, so I thought I'd share.

If it does, and you do, please let me know. This is one of my favorite designs...and one I could easily wear. I only wish it would get the votes it deserves.

I have registered over at threadless, but I have yet to submit anything there yet. This is the only place I have submitted anything so far. I think you're supposed to wait 60 days or wait to see if you get an honorable mention or something along those lines. I'll definitely see what the options are if it falls flat here. Thanks everyone for the support! I've had some low vote-getting designs lately and it always feels good when one does well.

I would never have thought this was from the best twosome in business - you really had me fooled! Love the design gentlemen and the colors. But you must make this at the very least a trilogy if not a longer series. Good luck and I sure hope this one prints. I'll be in for one for sure.
