I am sad that this isn't going to make it. Granted, I haven't been paying super close attention to the derbies, but this is the first I've really wanted in a long while.

On second thought the reason I think it looks unfinished is the missing back of the head/neck. But I see why you didn't put it in.

I love everything about this design. Seriously. Everything. If there is no justice in this world and it doesn't print, please post here someday if you do get it printed elsewhere. I'll keep checking back. If it gets printed, I'll likely buy at least one, if not two. :D

This is a great shirt! It really needs to win. I kinda go for the darker or funny shirts and this would definitely make up for all the cheesy cutesy shirts that woot has been selling lately.

1) I don't see why you would interpret the "awww" factor as "vote but not buy" more than votes for other shirts. Woot shirts are conversation pieces, and I think "This shirt was drawn by a six year old and won a contest against a bunch of grownups" makes good conversation.

2) Since when are derby competitors not allowed to play to our emotions?

3) I don't see why it's presumed this couldn't do well with or without the awww factor. The only thing wrong with this shirt is the grey background.

4) If someone is honestly discouraged rather than encouraged at a cute, simple design drawn by a small child, that sounds like a personal problem.

A beautiful sentiment made into a beautiful design. Excellent work! If this becomes available thru any means, I'd purchase in a hot minute. I believe others would as well.

The 'plebs' can grasp is just fine without four panels of a cloud just standing there and blinking. The concept is clever and cute without being nauseating. But I agree it's too long, and would be more impactful if it were condensed into fewer panels.

Well, I just had to check this out, after seeing a few comments whiz by in the entries thread. But most of those comments aside, good job, Logibear! Some day you're going to give Dad's designs some real competition.
And, props to Dad and Mom. Having your kid involved in what youlike to do has to be at least as important as involving yourself in what they like to do.
Fuggedabout the rest - have fun! That's the one thing that keeps getting lost in this competition - the joy.

Cute design but as someone else stated, a little long to get to the punchline.

I think it could be shortened down to three panels. First - Drinking from cup, Second - Painful expression, and finally Third - the release except remove the litter in first two panels and in third you show a child or two happily dancing on the ground being rained on and litter of empty cups around their feet.

I'd also take away the legs from the cloud, you can get just as much expression out of just the face and they only clutter the scene.

I don't think I would wear this... but you gmv on execution and style. It's great. I might buy it for my kid so she can wear it when she gets big enough.

I've never bought 3 of one shirt but if this one makes it you can count on me to pick up 3. I highly enjoyed Wicked the book. I appreciate how you brought them out as young cartoon characters and like the color you chose for the shirt. From a true Elphaba fan, thank you!

The problem with hard edges is that they warp in printing and instead of a nice rectangle you'll get funky wiggly lines and it just doesn't look good.

Loved duck and cover, and this is a riot too. I doubt i'd get it individually (though if I had a kid? definitely), however if woot printed a set with this and duck and cover - i wouldn't be able to resist. otterific work as always you two.

I almost feel like it would make a better print to hang on a wall than it would on a shirt. The artwork is great and the design well executed - just not sure I could see wearing it.

I was thinking the bird was more of an inverse of a phoenix actually. Then again, that's the beauty of art - even if the artist says it's one thing the viewers can and will interpret it in many unique (ALL WRONG! j/k) ways.

Fully expect to see it at #1, but even at #2-3 I'll be getting it within the first minute of availability. Great work, and like all rainy weather - I'm lovin it.
