Good job on this one, Bass. Poor guy on the end seems resigned to his fate. Reminds me somewhat of the "food horror" meme that was going around for awhile. I know some were sick of 'em, but I'm still a sucker for those shirts, esp when they're done as well as this one.

You know I've always wondered that too. Would be nice to get some official documentation from Woot on what the smallest size point is they can print. I've seen some various posts from artists in the forums, but with conflicting sizes, so I really don't know what to go off of myself.

Love your collabs, but it's nice to see your individual stuff, too, esp when it's as brilliant as this. Great job!

How do you do this week after week? Your characters are amazing, your ideas just subversive enough to be guiltily hilarious

Thank you so much for your great words for this design. I'm glad it's as much fun as I thought it was when I made the original sketch!

I love the robot, his experession is great! I'd work on the rain. Maybe it's just me, but it looks more like background design rather than something that's actually interacting with your character.

Keep cracking, would love to see more of your stuff.

Beautifully done. I love this at least as much as I disliked the cryptid entry.

tdallinger wrote:The design is a digital vector illustration of a photograph. If that is copyright violation, I am sure the folks at Woot will disqualify it.

I'm dead-certain it is, and they will. And even if it isn't directly in violation of copyright, it's certainly not going to pass muster as either original, art, or parody. "Homage" (if that's your intention) this close doesn't usually make it.

hehe ah well, a cat grumping in a puddle is cute too!

cantstopthesignal wrote:I don't like the stock-middle-of-the-chest placement. I would really rather have the side placement.

Aw, I'm sorry about that... I like side placements too... the design ended up being wider than I planned which didn't work quite as well with the side and most people in the pre-derby thread seemed to prefer the center. Look out for future designs though, because I do like side placements!

Vote!

Re: Hippie Shower

Great palette. You really tamed the red by using the perfect amount of complimentary shades. This is really successful in the color balance.

Good job and good luck in the derby. I don't know how the bewbalage will work out with Woot standards, but either way, it's a really good design for the risky red background. :D

This is cute - I think would've worked better with snowflakes as the theme. I keep seeing the donut as trying to catch the sprinkles in his mouth.

Nice first entry! The cat reminds me of something... Old Transformers? I dunno, but I'm betting we see more from you, and there'll be a theme where this style just kills.

This is our first Shirt Woot Derby. We hope you like our Wet Dog shirt. We are sure most of you with a canine companion can relate to our take on the rainy day theme.

We hope to produce more shirts for future Derbies. Thanks for viewing and your votes!

Cheers!
