Fantastic! Absolutely fantastic!!!

Not the design, of course. I mean your utter arrogance and blatant disrespect of both a well-known and respected artist as well as the woot community as a whole.

To be honest, what made me squeamish was the fact that it was his own fingers. Someone else's and I would've laughed and probably voted. Sorry, doesn't deserve tattling though.

Re: Prehistoric Snacks

@chumpmagic - I had a ton of fun making this one.

@bassanimation - It'll be hard to get the sticky insides of that drink off the ground, hopefully some giant ants will come and clean it up.

@JesseBYAH and walmazan - Thanks! I'm glad you guys like it.

@megsck - His cup was mostly full! Such a tragedy. I was trying to make a pseudo puddle of soda under the cup but it might not come across the way I want.

The art of playing croquet is tried and tested, though the caveman never could quite master it's refined etiquette. On cream.

Ouch guys. Way to gang up on someone. I'm not a huge fan of this design, but I absolutely love 90% of Ramyb's designs. I don't go looking for them, but nearly always end up clicking on the thumbnail to see the rest-which I don't do on all designs.

This looks like it was a rush job done in five minutes...
It's the first day of the derby... you could have at least taken the time to put a little more quality in it.

The best way to do this is to use a good photoshop brush. Usually a speckle type brush, set to scatter, and then play with the sliders a bit. You can also search for free textures that you can convert, but that takes a little more tooling. Just do a search for Photoshop brushes, that should help you ^^.

I like the idea, but it's really hard to see what the picture is of without the close up. I'm a girl, so I don't really want people staring at my chest long enough to figure it out...

I feel like this would work better on a black shirt so that background just blends into the shirt.

To be fair, this design is on theme. If Ramy were alive in prehistoric times, this is the kind of crap he would draw on the cave walls...

Re: Pigment Blowing

This was my back-up plan if my other entry made people vomit. I decided to move forward with it and make it more colorful and vibrant since that is something this derby is lacking.

The old hand prints on cave walls were assumed to be from people putting pigment in their mouth and blowing it on their hand while their had rested on the caves surface. That is the message behind this piece.

This maybe my last entry for awhile (maybe not), but Woot pissed me off, and I need to cool my jets... They replaced the green on my shirt, "Oh Shiny," with the blue in the Will-O-Wisp. As a result, the lighting, atmosphere and staging were jeopardized. My main concern is the lighting (something that most voters were drawn to); without the green, my once organized lighting now looks like mindless scribbles on the trees. I am probably overreacting, but I feel they have disrespected my artwork and mislead all the people that have purchased this shirt. Currently, the reckoning states that this shirt is the best seller for the week. I should be happy, correct? Sadly, I am not, and I am concerned for all the people that have purchase this shirt.

Sorry about my personal drama spiel, but I had to ventilate!

So there is no confusion this time around...

When I first read the theme for the new competition this is exactly the sort of image that popped into my head. Yours came out way more beautiful than mine would have. You're definitely getting a vote from me.

I don't find anything wrong with this shirt. It's obviously a parody. Also, there's been plenty of woot shirts that make reference to other artists' work (e.g., cookie monster).

Re: Finger Painting

I'm definitely disturbed, squeamish, and generally uncomfortable with this design... the art is great, so I'm not entirely sure why.

I suppose, upon more thought, it's because of a few things. Not that he is using blood to draw with, but because the blood is coming from ripped off fingers, and his own fingers at that. The art is so nicely drawn, the composition appealing, the colors work well together, that the disturbing part takes me by surprise and I think that is a little bit why it gets to me. You know? There's no "cues" that this will be a scary/bloody/halloween/creepy picture. If that makes sense.

That said, I appreciate your willingness to take down your entry if needed. That is a very considerate thing to offer. Personally, I'd be uncomfortable if it won but don't feel a need for it to be voluntarily taken out of the competition.

(ps - just thought of something about the creepy factor... might not feel so uncomfortable if he was drawing with mammoth/sabertooth blood or some other non-human, non-himself blood. He could be using the blood to illustrate winning the fight with said sabertooth or something)
