What better subject for our third letter derby than the third letter of the alphabet? Descendant of gimel, strongly rooted in Celtic language, and mishmashed in the Normal Conquest, Old English, Middle English, French, and just about anywhere else they have Cs. Show us your interpretation of the letter that doesn't appear in the spellings of English numbers. Maybe you'll reference Carbon. Maybe 100 Romans. Maybe a musical scale or a programming language. Maybe something original, even. Keep in mind though, that C also stands for "copyrighted," so don't go bogartin' someone else's work. And while you're at it, follow these rules as well:

No text. But if you want to use images to suggest the shape of a letter C, fine.

Things that start with C in languages other than English are allowed.
Be prepared to prove it. No Klingon, either.

No video games.

No Star Wars.

No comic book characters.

No trespassing. A totally random rule from a totally random Woot staffer totally randomly-named Gatzby.

Hopefully we won't see too much prefacing to work something into the derby, like "Cool Rabbit" or "Cute Hobo".

I'd actually be really interested in seeing how someone would make a shirt about a specific programing language without text.

Sounds fun! I like open derbies like this...

What a great week, a good derby theme and I have a shirt printing tomorrow!

Woooooo! Okay... I'm calm again.

Ironic, I was just saying last week that I'd like another letter derby.

Also, man. The cat designs will pour from the sky like buttered eunuchs. @_@

If you can type it on a keyboard - regardless of whether you hand draw it - it's text.

Finally - a Derby for 2 shirts I've been wanting.

I wants a photography related shirts - so something with a camera (not like shutterbug which grossed me out, I can't stand bugs).

Also - I seriously heart me some coffee. I'd love a coffee related shirt. Hey Walmazan - can you bring back your coffee guy and donkey?? I really wanted that one!

You've just painted a buttery taint and greasy pube laden image in my mind, that I will never forget... UGH!

One question ... why butter a eunuch? *snicker*

Okay, going out on the Bio-nerd limb here. One of my favorite organisms -- the Ctenophore. Seriously. Look it up. They're really cool. And a great candidate for glow-in-the-dark ink (they bioluminesce. How cool is that?) But I know, woot almost never goes for that.
