Keep your chin up !

Here is a famous quote

"You must keep sending work out; you must never let a manuscript do nothing but eat its head off in a drawer. You send that work out again and again, while you're working on another one. If you have talent, you will receive some measure of success-but only if you persist."

Well, I thought it was funny! Maybe put it up on Zazzle or something. I'm sure a fair amount of atheists would buy it.

Re: Crescent Moon

I really do like it, it's an otterific design. I wish it was a little bigger or have something that incorporates into the rest of the shirt a little bit. It would go with my 'Nightlife' shirt.

I am plannin' on it. Thanks for the advice!

quick advice request to you and everyone else with this design with resubbing elsewhere:
I'm thinking of adding text above and below the image.
Above: "Cobra Commander's Catsitting Service!"
Below:"World domination's not gonna pay for itself!"
What do you all think?

Thanks for the boost of support SnowqueenVT.
I'm not giving up on this game anytime soon.
I'm not a quitter.
I'm a problem solver at heart and trying to recamp and evaluate how to attack more effectively. Don't like spinnin' my wheels.
I appreciate the support people have given this design which at first was just a response to the cutesy-love going on here.
Too bad it got rejected but we will see how this plays out with future derbies and with subbing this and other designs elsewhere.
Here's goes the dreamer again!

chumpmagic wrote:Don't let it get to you. I get poopy votes form time to time. This community is a hard one to please if you don't have the style that appeals to them (which is usually cuties, nerdy, and playful... always exceptions though).

I say keep at it. It will help improve your skills trying to appeal to this community (at least it did a bit for me), and it's fun!

Also, Congrats on the Honorable Mention!

Thanks chumpmagic! I really do appreciate your support here and elsewhere.
I do enjoy the challenge comin' up with something to meet the theme each week and it is fun.
I guess my mopey-ness (just made up a word) is because of the my personal connection to this piece.
I think it would do better at threadless or another site.

Also when you mentioned honorable mentioned, I was like W-T-F!? and then I saw what you meant. That's really cool. I'm glad they liked the design from the scientific method derby. So does that mean as being an honorable mention that they will automatically enter the design in the double take derby or do I have to sub it? Just wondering.

Thanks again for the support!

"Well, yes officer. I was speeding, but other people were too!"

I never pretended to offer a "defense" of the design. I simply made a comment about all same haters that can't wait to pile on to every one of his subs. It's getting so bad the mods had to posts warnings about personal attacks on both of his subs. You people are so childish.

Re: Constellation Child

I really like the colors, and I disagree with the comments about the brushwork, I think it looks perfect for the style.

My only complaint would be that I find the girls eyes rather creepy... like they're staring at me...

It is auto-subed in. Woot does all the work... well, it is still good to try to promote yourself with sig and whatnot.

A garden gnome on a dog . That alone is classic . Now you throw in a kitty cat rodeo ? It's pretty funny. The kind of shirt you would by for your cat loving sister in-law or a tiny cowboy. I like it .

Please don't stop with the artsy or meaningful. It's a nice change for those of us that prefer beauty and style as opposed to cutsey critters with vacant eyes.

Re: A Couple of Creative Celtic Crows V2

I like your design, but as a fan of Celtic art and knotwork, I must say that your "knot" is Not a knot. Some of the ribbons/bands do not interlace and connect with anything. Typically, a knot will be one continuous ribbon (or multiple continuous ribbons interlaced) Otherwise, I like the Colors and the Crows.
