The rabbit looks weird to me. The stitching going down his side doesn't seem like it would be on a real stuffed animal, and his lower legs seem to be awkwardly rotated almost 90 degrees from the positions of the upper legs. I also am not a fan of the face of the turtle. I like the potential of the idea, but I don't think it is well executed.

kc6201 wrote:I actually like the caterpillar's eyes. It's the other cat's that I'm not crazy about. But it looks like that's a characteristic style of yours? Wasn't aware of that until I read jmmbell1987's comment.

Edited to add: Sorry, I think I messed up my earlier comment so it's not clear. I meant that originally the two cat's had completely different eyes. On the advice of a friend I made the caterpillar's eyes more like the other cat's. But the caterpillar's eyes still weren't quite the same style since they started out so different from the other cat.

All that aside I wouldn't change the caterpillar's eyes since I think they turned out really good. (end edit.)

I also like the way the eyes turned out on the Caterpillar cat.

The big round eyes are a recent addition, well of the last 6 months. You can look at my website if you want to see how things shift about. My more characteristic eyes are dash eyes like the pupils of the Caterpillar cat's only without the eye outline. I'm sort of feeling things out a bunch in terms of style. So, I totally understand if sometimes things feel a bit odd.

Re: Change comes to all

this so beautiful and poetic. i feel i could almost shed a tear! the way it compares the cycle of seasons to the stages and constant renewal of life is absolutely gorgeous.

we need more shirts like this.

in fact, i think we need more people with ideas like this. ideas which seeks to explore and render in artistic fashion the facets of human existence, rather than dismiss it in favor of the environment or animals.

i may be putting a lot more into this than you originally did, but thats what it makes me think of. which, in itself, is probably one of the reasons its such a good shirt.

this HAS to print!

Because she painted her toenails red!

ha!

Clever camouflage, indeed.

I'll join everyone else and say that I love the tennis ball as well. Any hey, this design has animals in costumes and candycorn--it's sure to do well in the derby.

Four colors on chocolate --- I mean brown: red(-ish), cream, tan and white.
Bon appetite!

While I certainly couldn't do any better as far as t-shirt design is concerned... I can't help but wonder who in the world would buy and wear this shirt. A cheesecake connoisseur?

Put the euphemism is "pushing up daisies" not "pushing up carnations." I guess this also kinda answers someone else's complaint of the flowers blooming underground.

Reminds me of the last scene in "What's Opera, Doc?" when Elmer Fudd is carrying off the dead Bugs Bunny in the same pose. [It's okay, kiddies, Bugs isn't really dead, just acting that way.]

Great image, great colors, and great placement! I've really gotten tired of large circular designs that are centered *right* over the stomach area... Kudos!

A tip for future entries, don't use special characters in your Derby Title (e.g. " # * ) as it causes the quote code to truncate as you see above.

Just an observation, though, it looks more like a raven because of the roughness of the feathers. Fortunately, the Common Raven is Corvus corax, a double C name.

I love the general concept, but I wish it didn't show a guy and girl together. Although we all grow old, not everyone takes the same traditional path in life and gets married. Also not into the cross, but I guess that's the default shape for a grave stone, huh.

Nice idea though!

I won't deny that I may be slow, but what is the crow corroborating? The title doesn't make much sense to me (well, except for that the bird is supposed to be a crow, I am not THAT slow :p).

Honestly I have no idea what all you people tater about.. this is VERY well done. VERY VERY nicely shaded and colored with only 6 colors. the expressions on their faces is priceless and i think the shirt itself is hillarious.

if anyone else did this no one would tater. i still dont see why everyone complains at Ramybs stuff. i personally think he's one of the best artists here, and comes up with great ideas fast.

I really like the shapes you've used to deconstruct the bee. It's a very cool design.

(Btw, not sure if this is helpful but the comp looks quite fuzzy to me in Firefox. When I view the image by itself it's nice and sharp but on the voting page it's 579px rescaled to 580px. Seems like that 1px makes all the difference!)

The head of the real bull looks off to me. It seems the horn is hanging lower than I would expect. Plus, it seems that since it is hanging so low I expect to be able to see the horn from the right said of his head visible below the jaw.

I also feel dirty for seeing this... the positioning is suggestive, and I have never contemplated bull-on-bull loving before. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Looks great on the shirt, and keeping the details so fine makes it interesting close up. The little face on the central cookie really seals the deal. His expression says 'how can something that tastes so right, be wrong?'.

Great design Boots! ^__^
