Version 2: Bring Home The Bacon

Previously rejected: Redrew the first two panels to further separate them from the originals (nothing was traced, before or now). Changed a bit of text and color as well. Text is necessary for two of the memes I used.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments and votes. I'm always a bit unsure how people will react to my designs so it's a relief to be doing well. I like memes but man I had a really hard time coming up with something that used three of them cohesively.

Thanks Tjost for the suggestion on the half toning. I think I was figuring that if the light blue was a halftone it at least would let the shirt color show through and breath a little. But the eyes would have been a better choice for sure.

When I read the derby rules I was struck by the comment about the "uncontrollable, unstoppable dumbing down of humanity". As a sort of retort, I wanted to make a shirt design that exuded a vibe of deep, ancient or esoteric wisdom. Take it ironically if you want. Or not.

Plus a little double rainbow action thrown in.

Honestly, I think this is one of the only t-shirts I would buy in this derby. It's not "in your face", even though it's covered in memes! It's very well done.

ramyb don't let them get to you. Your design is terrific, and I personally think its better than MJ's shirt. I would definitely buy it.

Anyway it's a popular game with really just one action, make a huge ball of stuff. I'm sure EVERY katamari themed shirt looks like this so MJ (or MJ's fans) shouldn't complain.

Thanks, I didn't want to do that, either. I was struggling for a while trying as hard as I could to think of something that might be relevant outside a meme derby.
