i am put off by the RED pumpkin

I REALLY like this design. But...like most others that have posted here I don't care for the brown nor do I think the WOOT brown shirt is as light as this is shown.

More importantly i am put off by the RED pumpkin,I agree with designer imperative, however, a tinge of orange is needed.

I would have put up with the brown shirt in the hopes it would turn out but the red pumpkin loses the vote

sTyLeS wrote:So exactly how many woot accounts do you have...and why?
I know of some people who have more than 1 account because they wanted more than the 3 maximum you can buy with 1 account. That can be understandable. But your usage of the word several bothers me.
Because now clearly I (who only have 1 account) have only a fraction of the voting power of you who has several times as much.

When I was in high school I tied it to a free email account and that account closed. Can't really get my forgotten email/password. I have 1 that is tied to my college address and this is to my home address both on different credit cards. Do not fear. I rarely if ever vote and when i do.. its only with this account. I like looking and appreciating the artwork. Often times the shirt I really want will never make it to print and I doubt the 3 votes would really make the difference in something thats at 13 or 14 if I wanted to waste my time on such an endeavor.

AdderXYU wrote:If you are not committing a crime now, you are still a criminal because you commit the crime. More so if you ALWAYS do it.

Ramy's past makes any design he enters unfit to print, because he has always been a thief, and even if he's not stealing now, he shouldn't be allowed to profit as a thief.

However, he DOES ALSO continually steal from himself, and while that's not illegal in the way many of his pieces are, it's lazy, disrespectful and not worthy of garnering a print from. And the rehashing here is pretty blatant and exact. By contrast, the tag-along is almost nothing like Impostor except that there are costumes and there's a one-of-these-things-is-not-like-the-other vibe. Neither of these things are new concepts by any means. However, if you want to play the uncreative card on that design, it is completely similar in concept, though not remotely in execution, to a design I submit long long long ago. So if impostor is being ripped off by it, my original was ripped off by impostor, which still puts Ramy and Seki decidedly in the wrong, regardless of whether we use real logic or your logic.

Thanks for playing. Have a case of turtle wax.

the great thing about his shirts now, Is that woot and wooters are starting to knock this stuff out of the fog. before it's printed. at least lately,I can't remember the last time one of his shirts took 1st.

You mean TGentry's one Star Wars reference, and one Back to the Future reference?

Yeah, try grasping at some other straws.

You might note that I am a very firm believer in personal style being important, and in one's own desired execution being important, while putting zero stock in what people like. It is all about worth of content.

You, who so cares about artistic quality, doesn't care about writing quality? If it gets the job done who cares? You surely do harp on (rightfully so) about ramy's (lack of) personal style. The shiny and lack of expression and detail are in fact a personal style though.

Of course wordy and overcomplicated style CAN inhibit your goals of getting people to actually listen to you. I trudge through philosophy books in college, I don't want to read verbose language on my downtime too. Especially when, after going through your post, I have learned little new. The effort/enlightenment ratio isn't in your favor.

Thanks for the advice.

I liked the just the dog on the broomstick. But I found it funnier when I saw the cat in the pumpkin. Then I "got it". Before, I just thought it was an unconventional witch. I didn't need explanation with your design and I like it as is. Sure, it could use a little more polishing, but so could most of the designs on here.

Snazzy concept- but since the thumbnail and shirt look different (both background and details) I see a rejection in your future. Might want to try this in a program besides MS Paint too...

Bass, I must say that you're probably one of the more original artists here. Nobody can claim that you stole ideas or styles from anybody else...it's all from your own (obviously very weird) brain.
Good job on this.

I think it might have worked better if the ghost was flipped vertically. In the current position it kind of looks like a spill on the floor or something. To be honest I'm not really seeing a ghost.

Re: Autumn Candy Corn

I really do like the idea, but as far as execution it looks a bit too clip-arty.
Like the tree and pumpkin were just clip art that were dropped on and you drew the hiliting on the tree afterward.
Was clipart used? If so, you should probably mention it to woot so they can determine if it's freely usable. If not, then maybe you should go into the clipart making business.

Re: The Tag Along

I've seen this exact idea done several times before with the ghosts. Well before Impostor; so it's not like it was an original idea then either.

I did a quick search to try to find examples of where it's been done before with the kids and ghosts but I can't find one and don't have the patience to look further.

I'm not saying this should be rejected. The style is different and very well executed. I'd probably buy it if it was printed.
