Heh, so, here's something funny. I drew 5 images for Halloween, and I picked the one that was probably the least likely to do well this week, haha. The others were: adorable mouse and cat candle, adorable retro animals with bludgeoning devices, a bunny rabbat (like a bunny bat, hurrr), and another adorable mouse one. :\ I shoulda dun the bunneh! ;_; (actually the bunny one was neat, I drew a nice bg for it and stuff, but alas, I forsakened it!)

You guys gave it your all this week, really. I will be a sad panda to not see a Draxxx shirt for Halloween .

Thanks Bass! It's important to do the art we like first, and let other monetary stuff come in later. I'm still learning a lot about the vast world of t-shirts. I'm pretty sure I can speak on Mr. Debris behalf as well when I say we love to do what we do, and the support we receive has been more than enough to keep us at it. It's especially is an "oh poo" moment to not make the cut for Halloween, but it'll be Halloween again next year, so we'll give it another go then I'm sure.

Imagining the other designs of yours you drew up, I'm pretty sure I would have liked your monster road trip the best. Hi five for that one, and Happy Halloween!

This is bullsh*t. What's the matter with people?! It's clearly one of the best designs up here and yet this late in the derby, it's out of the fog??? I give up...

Although I hope you gentlemen never stop submitting to the derby, given this ridiculous lack of support, I'd understand if you quit. Here's hoping that people come to their senses while there's still time...

I agree that it's 100% ludicrous to see such a design out of the top 10 in a Halloween derby, and I can also say that I'm not surprised in the least given the website it's competing on. The rest of the entries in the fog are stone cold laughable compared to this.

That said...

Drak said himself that the designs he does go against the typical calling of the voters here. I think taking that into consideration, and realizing that he's still been pretty damn successful in these derbies, that he has a secured support base here, and would be foolish to give it up. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that Drak has the most support of all the artists who compete who don't do the cute garbage, or clipart miasmas week after week.

Sure, we won't get a new Drak shirt for Halloween. So what, wear his one that printed last year, or the original Nightmare Circus.

It's a text-centric joke. The joke is completely different if they're puppets instead of numbers. If they're numbers, he's a vampire that feeds on numbers. If they're puppets, he's... a vampire. That's not the same joke at all.

Not to mention, incidental means "accompanying but not a major part of something." 2 of 3 characters in a design is a major part of something.

I see no way to interpret this design except as in serious and obvious violation of a stated rule.

Around here, Voodoo Dolls are the latest fad for the 7-10 year olds; kids beg their parents for a "toonie" everytime they go to the grocery store to get one from the vending machine. My daughter and her friends would sooooo love to own and wear this shirt year-round!

This is amazing, really hope this hops up to the fog. Great shirt for Halloween.

Real bummed to see this out of the fog. Drakxxx's linework is, as always, amazing, but it's CD's coloring job that really makes it stand out: the shading is just beautiful.

But, hey, at least a played out bunny and reaper are in the fog.

If it re-fogged it must have been for like a second, cuz it's back out now. On a semi-related, possibly hypothetical note, would it be ethical to hold a local high school hostage until all of the students get woot accounts, buy something and vote for this shirt?
