...I was planning on jumping into huge piles of leaves this weekend at my in-laws, but now, I might have to reconsider. Really nice work!

Wow, this is just too nice. Seeing the full image transports me back an bloody art class I took, studying art from various civilizations. This is a gorgeous design and I can't wait to see your future designs.

Woot doesn't actually have a yellow. I'm pretty sure they meant lemon, and this is lemon.

Kenny: I like it. It's nice to see you going beyond the usual pucker-lips. But football just isn't football without the spandex pants and robotic shoulder pads.

albinoapple wrote:This design looks so generic to me. :[

Radiomode is very good at these kinds of designs. I don't think generic is the right word... they may not have a concept or a message, they're purely wearable, but that can't be easy to do. It's just a different kind of skill than most Woot artists use.

Heh. You said what I've been thinking.

I have a feed of entries on my Google Reader, and according to it, there was an entry fro, kdeuce, but it's gone now.

ramyb wrote:The season of fall starts in September and ends late in December. I don't know where you live, but for me, when it starts, the leaves haven't all magically changed colors, and signs of green are still present, and by the end of the season all the leaves are entirely gone and the temperatures are often below freezing. I turned to Wikipedia to back me up, and found this as the first sentence on the site:
"Autumn or fall is one of the four temperate seasons. Autumn marks the transition from summer into winter"
I think this is exactly what the design represents, and it does so in a way that very clearly makes fall the prominent season. Even if you want to look consider the colors on the outskirts to represent other seasons, the yellows, oranges and reds of the design are not only centered, but also take up around 60-70% of the tree. Equal representation would mean that at least half of the tree would be green. The design represents a cycle that happens only in autumn, with all stages being found within the season.

I tried a lot of new brushwork techniques with this design, and while I know it isn't for everyone, I'm glad to see so many people liking the results. Thanks again

Ah, okay. I did not understand what you were trying to convey-thanks for the clarification.

I love this website! ^^

Re: Save the Brethren

Ok it's been awhile but I back and yes better late than never. I hope you all are doing well and I look forward to getting back into the swing of things. Life can deal us a ruff hand but its what we do with it that determines who we are. I've chosen not to let it defeat me and have made some forward steps like opening a Zazzle store, updating my website and entering other artistic base contest. Keep watching for me I'm still here just few more dents and gray hairs. lol

Re: Falling Down

Ahhh, OK, now I feel better. With the green leaf holding that newspaper or whatever, my first reaction was that he'd beaten the other one to death! 0_0! Maybe if were clearer what the paper was (Obit?), and maybe a tear to show bereavement more clearly. I think I would lose the red blood tear on the dead leaf, too - that's what really made me think 'murder'.

ramyb wrote:Sorry this one isn't to your liking- the idea with the double leaf blowers was just that it is double the obnoxiousness. The squirrel is all decked out to blow leaves in the face of the other one, who is just trying to be responsible. The idea was amusing to me, so I went for it.

Hm, double the obnoxiousness. That seems familiar somehow...oh yeah, two ramyb entries are in the fog!

Clearly Ramyb has copied this whole "tree with stuff on it changing colors thing" from God! Ramyb should be on the look out for a lawsuit from the big guy.

Seriously though, It's a pretty decent pic IMO, I may not wear it though, but I'd consider getting it for either my wife or one of my little sisters as Christmas gift.
