good memory eHalcyon. I actually thought of that shirt when I saw this derby. wasn't sure how to change it enough to resub it. hopefully it'll print someday, somewhere.

I agree. Not /every/ Christian will be offended, but ones that value the meaning of the Cross and see an image of raw meat instead of Jesus will be offended.

No one is telling you what you can and cannot submit to the derby, but likewise don't take offense if some of your feedback is critical when your submission obviously has a high degree of "shock" value. Criticism really comes with the territory, doesn't it? The comments are for positive and negative feedback. Additionally Woot doesn't want to take part in making fun of anyone's religion. That is not good business, whether you use the Christian Cross or the Islam Crescent.

Great take on the theme, and I think you rendered it well, and chose great, subdued colors. My only quibble is that the golden arches on the suspender buttons might get you rejectionated. I don't know how closely Woot is going to call copyright issues - no one is ever sure how Woot decides things! But if you do get the boot don't feel bad. Learn from it and come back next week. You're good!

Thanks! Good point about the arches. Think I should modify it a tad and re-submit? It doesn't seem like it would be a dreadfully big deal to make a little edit like that.

Making fonts and hand lettering is one of the biggest pain in the butts ever. People don't realize how much work goes into it, there's a reason font houses charge thousands of dollars for unique fonts for companies. Whenever a client wants something on the cheap but wants a custom font I'm like yeah shuuuure Great job on this Diana, very art deco.
