Re: Last Flight Home

Love the look - though I hope the design is clearly visible on the shirt if it prints.

Regardless, beautifully done. When I first saw it I actually thought of the united airlines stuff....heck if it doesn't print you should sell it to them lol.

About 1/2 to 2/3 this size would look good, otherwise this would be one of my favorites thus far. Please remove & resubmit smaller and you'll have my vote!

Re: Wish You Were Here

I like the concept of this shirt overall. I saw you wanted her(memory) to seem young? I dunno, when I saw it I got a pedophile has to pee sorta vibe. Not trying to be mean but she seems so much younger/smaller than he does. Is it a daughter? Neice? Can't really get that from the drawing. Maybe lose the panty shot and make her about the same size, like a girlfriend sorta thing. For the guy, I agree, not feeling the pigeon toed look. I think he would still look gloomy if you were to simply change that element.

Ooh, that must be Italian.

Radien wrote:I sense a very good subtle joke.

Too bad I haven't seen A Christmas Story or I might be laughing along with the others right now.

Having worn subtle shirts before, however, I can say that oftentimes it just isn't worth it. Yes, occasionally someone will "get" it and laugh out loud, but most of the time I just end up answering a bunch of questions from people who don't.

Personally, I prefer subtle shirts that don't leave the uninformed feeling like they've missed something. That makes the hidden humor even sneakier.

Nicely put. I totally agree on what an ideal shirt would be.

vegansnightmare wrote:I'm as giddy as a deranged bunny. I want it now.

"Deranged Bunny" is the title of one of the designs I abandoned. I abandoned since it started looking a bit too violent. Stuff taken out of context of this movie looks a lot rougher than the actual innocence of the movie.

Doh. Whenever I draw something that doesn't look like a penis, it looks like a child molester. Dammit.

On this Derby Woot talks about this moment of the year where most of us head back home. But also about those who are unable to... This tee is about those who will stay faraway on this moment. Those who are not able to head home for a while. But also it has this warm feeling of having a bit of home with you wherever you go. That's what gives you the force to continue...

Ok. There is no theme present at all. And do I really need to create links for the hundreds of sparrow shirts that are for sale at every single teenager store?

Seconded. Wow, this is incredibly off-theme! You could've at least added some holly to, you know, pretend you're doing something on topic.

Re: The Hungry Igloo

Great job on this. Kinda a bummer to see that cartoon already done, but I know that's not the first one to do something along these lines too. I don't think you were trying to rip anything and unlike some previous artists on here even if you used it as a base of inspiration you made it your own, changed the central idea a bit, changed compostion layout and perspective and in general did a better job then the shown previous work. We'll let Woot decide on it's merit though. Keep it up and I would suggest doing some quick searches during conceptualization to save you some hassle in the future

After I was done, I cycled through all the t-shirt colors and white and brown looked the best to me. I chose brown over white because I don't think I have ever used it before.

I am sorry that you don't like the t-color, but I am glad you enjoy the design.

I may be remember correctly but... around the time of the holidays, the weather changes, causing many birds to migrate south to their second home under the equator. South is normally represented as straight down (on maps and whatnot).

And no, you don't have to link them all. Just do the one that looks closest to my design if you think its a cause for rejection.
