I think that this "joke" or meme, is one of a factory worker or manual labor humor. I only say this, because I've seen this repeatedly, but usually mixed in with the over-photocopied blue humor joke passed around in the days before internet and forwards.
-_- that comment didnt go in the right place. *whistle*
Re: Everybunny Loves the Holidays
Zombastic detail. Love!

I figure Death does a lot of walking...he needs a comfortable pair of shoes.
Thanks guys. I'm glad you're enjoying the color scheme and style. I really enjoyed painting the background, which is good because a lot of times the background is an afterthought for me. I actually did this one first.
may have gone w/ a traditional flying saucer for the space ship...but cool none-the-less
Re: In Which Douglas Comes Home Jewish
Nice, gmv

I believe you are correct, and the typo has been fixed. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!

Re: results for home for the holidays
hey thatrobert ... I think people are getting the reference even without the text ;) glad to see this still up here.

Re: An unwelcome homecoming
Re: Dinner With Friends
arrrrggghhhhh! why did THIS drop out!?!?!
Re: Winter Fun
Re: home alone for the holidays
I'd like this a lot if it wasn't for the awkward chartreuse rectangle in the middle of a grey shirt. Put the bird design directly onto the shirt (chartreuse or grey or red or whatever, really), and I'd buy it.

camylow7 wrote:may have gone w/ a traditional flying saucer for the space ship...but cool none-the-less
I think people are missing the point on the spaceship choice because its not a super recognizable one. It's the ship from ET, which I did since the whole movie is about him trying to go home. The ship is only in the movie for a couple of minutes at the end though so most forget what it looks like. Thanks for the support though

well, ...only in the sense that it does refer to those muppets. I never saw that movie intentionally- might have seen it on tv.
AhHA! So it seems. No worries though. I wasn't really offended, just clarifying;) The internet is a very gender-ambiguous realm of hidden identities and twist endings. Thanks again theFold!

This. Shirt. Rocks! +1
Re: Holiday Travels
i have to agree. lose the square and i'm sure you'll get lots of votes. very nice drawing!

Re: Warm and Cozy
I think the idea is really clever. I even like the shell that so many are taking issue with. I'm with paige on the amorophous nature of his face, though; he seems to be lacking all expression. Put some real eyes on there, make the smile more than a trick of the shadows and I think this would look pretty good.
I'm glad they are carrying their coconuts in a case...much more practical...
Congratulations on winning a Artistically Unique Award on The Fold! This is not SPAM. We want your shirt to print really bad We are giving you free publicity to your design and that is all we can offer... for now
Re: delicious
Really dig it: so many small touches make it shine. Wish it were doing better.
jerroul wrote:I'm glad they are carrying their coconuts in a case...much more practical...
Haha. That's exactly what I was thinking when I was drawing it.

yeah I was worried about losing the drawing on the shirt color, so I kinda panicked.
Re: Never Leave Home
Very good. Hail Odin! Hail Vinland!
Re: The very next day you gave it away
I like the Peanuts and Wham!
Delightful:D So many adorable and amusing characters and details.
Re: By the Hearth
this is really zombtastic, and I love that it's an all-year shirt
piakul wrote:this is really zombtastic, and I love that it's an all-year shirt
zombtastic**... for some reason I was thinking about zombies...
this deserves more votes for the complexity of execution here.
It is a nice drawing. A resub would have been great. That, and a link to a bigger picture so we can see the detail.
julejules wrote:It's interesting that some people saw the turtle as happy and others saw it as sad. I personally thought it was a happy turtle, maybe because I was happy to see a design I liked so much. I guess just like some people see the glass as half full, others half empty.
Sheesh, I'm not a pessimist just because a dead-eyed turtle with an invisible smile looks sad to me. I'm normally quite the optimist, I promise!

Thank you, thatrobert. I am always glad to receive these lil' treasures. I am starting to rack up a collection
