heypaula wrote:The rules said it had to be an original robot. This one was based on that toy.

Which is awesome and I love this shirt and would love to buy it if it's printed elsewhere or in the future, but it was against the rules of this derby.

But isn't there one based on iPhone and one based on Roomba? Or are those ok because they aren't "really" robots.

Good to see you guys working together again! Fantastic work, so much detail. And that is one badass dragon - no surprise there of course ;] GMV!

kharmazero wrote:ok about this rejection, but why other designs with more boobs and more sexual references are still in the running?

Point out the other designs with those references, and woot will probably reject them too. Sometimes they overlook stuff and just concentrate on the designs that are in the fog, and sometimes they have time to look at everything.

Kharmazero made an excellent point. Why was his shirt with hard to see nipples rejected, and this one with a naked torso still in the game?

This looks beautiful! I'd definitely mack on it and encourage everyone I know to mack on it, too!
The detail is wonderful, the color choice is wonderful, and you're wonderful.

I don't care much for the shirt color. I look really, really good in that shirt color, it's just not a color I like to wear. My point is, you've got my vote. Awesome design!

We haven't. And glad we were missed, thanks. This week I may have a little something extra in the way of progress images for those that are interested. I've got to get it all sorted so it may be a little while but I'll have something. Just prepare to be informed, amazed or possibly disillusioned!!

juliaL719 wrote:You know, I can't help but feel like I've seen something similar before.

Except that this time, the dog is also a robot and his mouth is incapable of closing. That'd make for a pretty crap-tastic game of fetch, huh.

So, robot-man's mouth is permanently fused into a sideways smirk? Like, he's stuck like that?

Ramy, this could have been handled with a hell of a lot more finesse and about 10 seconds of attention to detail.

I have to agree, few moving parts on the dog or the bot make them both look more like office desk decoration than the future of man's best friend.

Conceptually: this has nothing. Technically: anyone look at the dog's impossibly shaped face?
