Hi all,

I don't normally do resubs here, but a few people expressed interest in seeing this one again. I did redraw some parts of this design (headphones were totally redrawn), as well as reworked the background and added more details here and there. ^^

Thank you to everyone who remembered this design and specifically asked about it ^^. I dont know how well she'll do in such an amazing field, but I figured it'd be ok to give her one more shot .

Enjoy the derby, I know I see oodles of art that is fantastic!

Well, I know it's not an entirely original idea the whole "something-under-the-shirt". But I didn't see any specific robot ones out there, and at least nobody else has submitted on yet this derby.

Thanks! Still having issues with the damned comp, though. I dunno what the deal is with the fuzziness. I don't get it with CS5, but I've been using GIMP lately, and it's starting to tick me off.

I'm new around here, so I'd like to try to understand the rejection terms better for future reference.

This was actually based on a 3d render I made of a robot toy.

Is the problem that it's too "photorealistic", or is the problem that it's too close to an existing toy, which as far as I know is a generic robot design. Or both?

Excellently drawn, though a hint of back shade would POP it off the shirt.
Menawhile, I agree this is not in rejection territory. The rules were (for a change) relatively clear. That is, until Woot rejects (or doesn't) something that contradicts what they apparently are.

Awww, cute! But you need to include a shirt composition. Grab a template off the submissions page, place a small image of your design on the shirt to show size and placement, then sub as a 580x580 jpeg. On - woot navy? That color always shows up badly onscreen.

Unfortunately this is a bit graphic, but without context. There are no surroundings - just bloody parts.
Last I knew there was another shirt in the works on a similar theme. Check it out whenn it goes up. The author is pretty experienced, and you can pick up some tips on how to compose an idea.
Trust me, I know - I'm learning what works here and what doesn't, too!
