4 colors on cold, sad, navy

Polar bears are often classified as marine mammals, and humans did nothing to make them that way. Their feet are webbed and they are extremely strong swimmers. Even the polar bear's scientific name, Ursus maritimus, means "sea bear". There's nothing inherently sad about seeing a polar bear swimming in open water. They're very good at it, and they don't seem to mind doing it.

Presumably more and more entering will bring you there. It's basically a matter of taking very simple utilitarian execution and making it into a style, instead of just that utilitarianism.

Also, I am -always- worried about the size of your designs. This one especially seems like it might be tiny printed.

i wish i could put more stock in your opinion, adder. i'm all for helpful criticism! but i think you've destroyed your credibility with your constant complaining and negativity. if your goal is constructive criticism, avoid starting comments by expressing how apprehensive you are in giving a compliment..

Re: Snow Angels

first I want to say I like the design.
its beautiful and elegant in simplicity.

couple thoughts,
from how the snowprints are laid the majority appear to be the bear. and then I deduce the bear decided to do snow angels all by itself. I think this due to the child's footprints appear to be coming off from the side of the shirt at the bottom and are separate from the trail which fills the majority of the shirt, which are the bears.
So child sees bear doing snowangels and says, "that looks fun! why not!? Its only a bear." with this little backstory whether intentional or not by boots boots this makes the shirt hilarious and a cautionary tale for children seeing bears making snow angels. its a trap!

This is probably true. I know the Sierra Club has those people that go around and knock on your door and play the sympathy card, trying to use guilt as a way to persuade people to care (my roommate did it for them for 1 day then realized he didn't want to be that "guy"). Personally, I think trying to make people feel guilty (for not caring or for not helping) is a horrible, widely used method. I presume, the main confusion is that these groups think that people are unaware when in fact, almost everyone is aware of this issue (if they have any form of media) but do not truly care. I chose to show something beautiful in hopes people would start caring on there own free will. Every donation I have ever made, I went to the organization on my own terms. Not once have I donated when an organization has come to me. Awareness isn't the issue anymore in my opinion; now its a lack of interest, consideration, and heart.

Sorry for the rant... touchy subject I guess.

Re: Snow Angels

Love it but I wouldn't buy it simply because of the placement of the characters at the bottom. Woot shirts tend to run long, I'm short, and anything towards the bottom gets scrunched up. Had this issue with my first Woot shirt, Autumn Breeze. I guess that's just my issue since I'm only 5'0".

Aurora borealis, also known as the northern lights, are named after the Roman goddess of dawn, Aurora. This is a whale, breaching the dawn.

And I think that your facial expressions make the shirt without having to use the text. Fantastic! Definitely works great this way!

I should also make it clear that I wasn't targeting your art. Art should have a message, and the deeper the message the better. Just basically saying I thought the opposite of you due to my encounters with aggressive environmental activism.

glad you posted this because I was worried that was what you were thinking.
And I uderstand that a group's tactics do tend to lose the message that is in need of being stated. My hope is this design is not lumped with said groups tactics but stands on its own and doesn't come across being forced down throat.

It's funny, I read your first comment and was wondering why you didn't point that out... This is possibly the least on theme "design" that I've ever seen. I don't even know that it makes any sense at all, theme or no.
