Re: Southwest Mesmer

Wish you had chosen a different detail image, because it doesn´t really reflect this design, and that might lead to a lot of people missing this...

I'd wear it in a heartbeat. This, from a gen-yoo-wine lady!

Re: Freed

@jessebyah - it's so funny how you knew and a lot of people are saying that! Thanks!

@misskari - People seem to think so!;) Thank you!

@zandersZa - Thanks so much!
Actually I think royal blue is my number 1 shirt so far too - total coincidence, including some randoms I liked. But I don't have the win of blue eyes, hehe.

@littlebubbles - Thanks littlebubbles: )

@valtr0 - hmm I'll have to check it out.

Just a friendly note that you'll need to resubmit this using the heather gray texture, or else it will get rejected.

Re: Hey Hey We're The Monkees V.2

Based on some feedback...and even lack of feedback and votes...I decided to remove the crackled distressing and also chose some slightly more appropriate 60's colors.
If you voted for the other one, please vote here as well.

6 colors on Navy.

Nice work styles. I like the changes you made. The distressing was a little to distracting before, and I do like the change in colors.

No. Yes.

Awesome. I don't know what else to say... Awesome works, though.

I don't usually have much to say, so words from me mean you're doing something very right.

When I did the original comp image I exaggerated the dot screen for the gradations because it didn't show up. When I do it normally and then reduce it to the comp size there's barely any change in the skin tone, it just blurs together into one color. Hopefully I won't get [REJECTED] this is the best I've done in a derby.

In any case in the future, if I can't find a way to reliably show halftones without making it look worse than I know it'll print, I'll just avoid tints altogether.

Re: It begs for Inspector P.

I really like this for some reason. I love how the smoke from the pipe creates the night sky.

The only thing I see posing a threat to this is that the masses are sick of penguins, from what I hear. I caught on late, so it doesn't bother me at all. Power to the penguins!

Am I the only person that immediately thought of [a certain Italian plumber] when I saw this? I don't just mean the red suit and moustache, but the other characters as well.

Haha, well I would hope so as that was exactly what I was going for with this design. Good eye! Something about Super Mario Bros. 2 just seemed to lend itself to the theme for this week.

This reminds me of something that would be in Newsweek or some other periodical that might do a piece on networking. Some type of graphical element placed under a title page... or It might just be me.

Clean, smart and without a doubt on theme. GMV.

Re: A Tall Drink Of Water

This is a culmination of many of the artists mentioned in reference to the theme, reflected in the style and the animation but then going one step forward in using the coloring as a shape in itself towards the title reference and having the tall lanky sheriff juxtaposed.

I know people hate creme but I thought this shirt color worked best.

I was going with a space girl design I may still do it. I posted it in the prederby thread but I saw a number of other similar themed shirts and didn't want to be just another one.

If you would like to see a more detail version of the design click here

As always open to all feedback good or bad. If you like design share with friends and family.

Thanks for the support.
