66 and 1/2 degrees marks the arctic and antarctic circles. It is there because the tilt of the earth is 23.5 degrees and the circles are 23.5 from the poles. I dont know what 66 1/3 is.

33', not .33

That means 33 minutes of arc. There are sixty minutes in one degree, so 66° 33' equals 66.55 degrees.

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.

No, that would be 90 degrees north latitude, by definition.

For reference, a big chunk of the U.S./Canada border is 49 degrees north latitude (Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, most of Washington and some of Minnesota). 60 degrees north latitude is the northern border of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia.

Genetically reindeer and caribou are the same animal, but (imported) reindeer in North America are the domesticated version. They are shorter, stronger, and more docile.

Why are they all going the same direction? I'd keep looking over my right shoulder to see what was sneaking up on all of us!

Let this t-shirt be proof that I will draw for 24 straight hours if someone says the magic words... special gift bags. ;)

But seriously, The Sierra Club's "Arctic Love" sponsorship & awareness site is a brilliant cause, and one that gave me great motivation. Thank you to lastcurlew who runs the campaign there, for the wonderful PM of support during the contest, and thanks to everyone for voting and leaving great comments!

Thank you. ^__^

In the spirit of w00t-offs and the Bag of Coal, can we get a record of the relative coolness of your special gift bag? If you're lucky, it'll have the cool Sierra Club backpack that I have!
