NOOO, not quite a military thing. Its just my parents don't care for the holidays I guess. I love the holidays though, seems like the only time everyones legitly happy.

When I was in the millitary we used to have a New Year Levée on new years day which was a breakfast or brunch served with copious amounts of alcohol. It is very much a Canadian thing I believe. The Canadian Consulates hold them every year and it's open to all expats. There is also one held by the Governor General in Ottawa open to all citizens. I think they are more a reception type thing.
I've thought of going to the one in Dallas sometime.

Like going into it, I wanted to build stuff involving renewable energy to try n better the world.

But we'll see things change. Like in High School I wanted to be an architect until my senior year came round.
