Re: Draconic Nox
I had a lot of fun making this. I wanted to create a little scene with a samurai and dragon in the dark with a small glow. It's all halftone shading. I think it turned out really well. Tell me what you think, what you like and don't like.
Re: Zombie Unicorn
This... Is amazing... I HOPE IT WINS!
melquam wrote:I made some modifications to make it not look so much like a photograph. Hope you all like it.
I love it! I'm not sure if it was your intention, but this made me crack up. I'd buy one of these for each of the six members of my family and then we'd go to the zoo to show them to the elephants. I hope you win!
uniique wrote:I dig this style. Nice!
Yeah, it's a nice looking shirt, but I don't think that's a shade of violet. Nor does woot have the ability to print from seam to seam like that.
sealchild wrote:This just looks like something tacky from the Oriental Gift Shop at my local mall. I'll pass, sorry.
Seriously. C'mon, Patrick. This reached into the tackiness grab bag with a hand covered in honey. Superfluous glow? Check. Doubly superfluous fog? Check. Skulls? Check. Never mind the Yin Yang, which, on t-shirts, usually comes off as a rich man's Ed Hardy.
Now this is a good Patrickspens design.
Re: Little Lion Man
This is stunning work. And I love Mumford and Sons. If someone could somehow capture "Winter Winds" in shirt form, they'd be my favorite person ever.
Re: The Blue Dress
I dig this. A lot. Superb work.
Re: 100 pt Buck
This buck has 100 points, unless you are of the mind to count the points on each antler, in which case it has 200. A trophy worth mounting on a t-shirt either way!
Re: The Book TreeV2
Where can I get a book tree for my backyard?
puppetsmith wrote:Orange Gina - detail...
I really like your style. Nice and clean. I'm still trying to learn how to do a good halftone(I know it shouldn't be that hard) but your halftone is what I'm aiming for. Great jop in my opinion.
Re: The Sun Sets on a Concrete Forest
This really is top notch. What makes it for me are all the little details--the shoes, the droopy phone lines, the blimp-- all wonderful!
Re: Vinyl
I really love this! It is so simple-you have a gift to be sure.
Re: T-Rex Sword Fight
I am blown away by your skills! Fantastic. I think it might do better if it only had either the top T-Rex or the bottom one by itself. I love them both, but not as much with the composition of them together. But then again, I never get any votes. That is just what I thought when I first saw it. But once again, I can't tell you how much I love your skills!
Re: Dragons Blow
Great job. Hopefully the Boots train doesn't derail this week.
Re: Instant Noodle Guardian
Great job Lucky! I'd like to see a red/green version with the dragon adding some sriracha to those noodles!

Before someone else does, I'd better correct my counting: 76 or 152. Math never was my strong point.
Re: The Impossible Discovery of Fire
Very cool/hot! I particularly like the foreshortened fish.
odysseyroc wrote:Great job Lucky! I'd like to see a red/green version with the dragon adding some sriracha to those noodles!
cheers odysseyroc! Mmmm siracha!

Thanks dottarts. I'm struggling with halftones as well. This was my first go at it. Seems like there should be a much simpler process than what I've found so far.

This is absolutely gorgeous. I wish I could see a bit more detail in the dragon's face, but the halftone work is beautiful. GMV!

interesting how it translated the oh-em-gee into well, you see :P
Very nice as always
Re: Tiger, Tiger
So cute!
Dinosaurs are awesome. Swords are awesome. As for dinosaurs with swords? EPIC. I want to wear this shirt when practicing with my sword!
Re: Ghosts in disguise
Love it!
Re: Ancient Chinese Fistbump
Very cool. I love the design And it makes me laugh. I'd like to see another picture of its placement on the shirt, though.
Re: A Little Perspective
You MUST use two ink colors??
Love it! Clever. Cool design. Great placement. Very nice...
This kicks ass like a flaming boot made of meat! Awesome!!!
Re: Balance
I wish I could do brushwork like this. Your designs always seem to have such movement.
This is my favorite so far. It just makes me smile, and I love the character in these guys. Great stuff, +1 and will hope for a print!
Re: Little Red Riding Bug
Great Illo! Striking use of color.
Re: Aurora
An aurora! The original plan was to make an aurora australis with penguins in the foreground. I canned the penguins, because I was concerned they might detract from the composition rather than add to it. Comments and suggestions are appreciated!
This shirt is made of win!
Re: My Dad in Two Colors - V. 2
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahaha! That looks more like Daddy than Daddy does!

It was my intention for people to like the design. Mission accomplished! Thanks!
