That mouse really needs to stay inside today. ^__^

The word catastrophe comes to mind, but you managed to pull off the opposite with the concept and drawing style.

That's funny. It's really subtle, but it does look like he's ready to rawk. I like that.

I think this shirt would be infinitely more cool if it had a bobcat on it.

It's due mainly to their specialized diet and high metabolism - they just aren't robust as the other big cats because they have to work so hard to eat...

... because, you know, cheetahs never prosper.

Damn you Shirt.Woot for having such an epic week! I'm already waiting for my Nerdasaurus. No way I'll be able to skip sending this to my mom. (Starts hunting under the couch cushions for change...)

I am a RVT, I have four cats, this shirt is PERFECT for me, but I am blond and pale and look ridiculously ugly in cream, or baby blue, or yellow, and that's inevitably what any cool design would be on. AAHHHH! ): ):

I agree--cream is a very difficult color for those of us with pale skin. Add my pinkish undertone and colors like this are very problematic. I would even have preferred a brown shirt over the cream, but I bet the cats would have really popped against green too.

I own a couple of other cat-print Woot shirts that I only wear at home because the colors (gray and yellow) are not flattering on me, and I skipped others because of this same color issue.

ETA: While I'm on the topic, I would love to see a design printed on teal.

It's ok. It's not real. I mean it's real in that it's a tangible thing.. but it's just a man-made hunk of junk. I'm pretty sure it's impossible for plastic to retain a soul so I think it's safe. However, if it were a real tree, it would be evil and drip blood and the whole world would be f'ed so good call.

quantamm wrote:Maybe it's offtopic, but this shirt reminds me of the lions exhibit at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. It's a lion enclosure that you get to walk through (protected by plexiglass, of course). But near the entrance, there's a skylight that allows you to see the lions from below. It's really neat and the next time you find yourself in Vegas, you should walk through.

I stayed there once; I thought that display was pretty depressing. There's nothing more thrilling than seeing some doped up, apathetic lions pace around a cage just looking for some way to end it all.

If they really want to end it all, I mean, I could switch places with one of them. I can lay around in a 5 star Vegas hotel while people take photos of how gorgeous and majestic I am. I will lay there, with my raw meats in a nude, tranquilized wonderland.

Meanwhile, the lion sit in a cold, dark office, cursing at Adobe and wondering what that smell is...

Sounds like a deal to me!

I agree with you regarding the difficulties of cream/yellow/orange shirts, and now add the fact that I work in a restaurant setting, and you have the recipe for disaster. The dress code is lax enough that I can wear my woot shirts to work, and the customers love them. One woman comes in several times a week to see what shirt I'm wearing, her favorite is Fresh Cake (#12-Reckoning)

I have become pretty adept at darkening shirts using tea or instant coffee, that way I can control how much color goes on the shirt. It just depends on whether or not the lighter colors of the design are part of the transfer or the cloth of the shirt.

Either way, I'm in for one. The fact that the artist's male cat was named Katie sold it for me.

Woot only allows one order of the daily item (with maximum three per order) per day.

If you would like to add another one to your order--and have it shipped to the same address, as woot does not do multiple shipping addresses in one order--please email service@woot.com with your order number and request. If you want another shirt but want it shipped to a different address, you'll either need to wait until after midnight central to purchase the shirt (at $15, though) or get a friend/family member to open a new account and order it at the $10 price before midnight central.

Thanks! I sent an email before I read this to the Wonderful Service Folks of Woot (is the brown nosing too much?). They've received it and assigned a case # already, so I won't resend. I'll probably just pick it up after midnight then. Learn something new every day! :o)

NightGhost wrote:Yes! Add a star (or two) if you're a cat lover. This is well-conceived, mostly realistic art, with just a touch of caricature thrown in to make it cute without being over the top.

I love how the cats' actions and expressions are so er, cat-like. But most of all I'm tickled by the placement of the house cat at the top, looking smugly as if he owns the place. Lions? Tigers? Bah! - I can get silly humans to feed me!

That housecat at the top is my dearly departed Katie. He was a boy cat named Kate. All of us cat people are a little off.
