Re: Wagon Train to the stars! - Sepia colors
Oooh, I definitely like this one better. It really adds to the Old Western feel. Though I still think I'd like it even more if the background stars weren't in a definitive shape.
Re: Binary
As an astronomy geek, I really appreciate the simplicity of this pheonomena on a shirt. :P GMV
o my gawd Battlefield Earth (2000)dude dis fantastic
moomie wrote:why would the sun be having fun? A red giant is a DYING sun.
Yeah I know, it's dying, and it's having one last hurrah by taking some planets with it. I figure that at least some dying stars probably go a little insane in their death throes.
Great looking design (like always).
Re: Balloon Race
I definitely like this one better than your other, glad you posted it. I like the sketchiness of the balloons, probably more than if you'd cleaned them up.

Seconding this! Very well done
Re: Destiny
I very much need this! Fingers crossed for you :D
Where you been? It's fantastic!
Re: Space Dust
Awesome week for you so far, 2 designs in the fog. Great job
Re: Starry Night
oh excellent! I really like the feel of this one. def voted!
Re: star seeder V2
this is exceedingly cool GMV!
Re: It's just a flesh wound
As promised here's a mockup of the shirt I turned "Greetings from the Krampus" inside out, and then used Gimp to mockup the shirt. The scale should be right, but I couldn't quite match the light levels and digital grain.
Re: Night Wings
very very dreamy and beautiful worl GMV ;-)
tazbam3 wrote:Not sure if it does or not but a friend of mine who is deaf and goes to Arizona School For the Deaf and the Blind said I should try. Also sorry to here you have a real need to learn braille hope all is well for you.
Yeah, I have a little boy who is blind. I have to learn braille to help him learn it. He went to the school for the blind, he is mainstreamed now. They did discover that they had to be careful where they put Braille on the teenage girls t-shirts. I was thinking of trying braille on a "no text" shirt too.

thanks a lot again
I really like these colors. Great design too.
Re: Star Power
This is pure awesome. I love your robots Robbie.
Excellent Version 2! The new color scheme gives it the feeling of an old photograph and stretches your color palette so much further. Brilliant improvement on a great design GMV +1
Re: Hand-maiden of the Stars
HAND-maiden...get it? haha...hands...ha...ha...
kimvy wrote:If that were part of the criteria, then we may only have two or three things to vote for. Pretty much EVERYTHING has been done somewhere before. Why is it you and a couple of your buddies have nothing original to say about anything? It's always a complaint with maybe a backhanded compliment tossed in. You and yours are tedious and predictable, more so than any designer could be.
AMEN! If this prints I'm in for 3!!!
Re: Primordial Curiousity Ver. 2
Since human kind was born we have always been fascinated with the stars, always wondering what lies in that final frontier. Decided to revamp it a little Detail-
Re: Goodnight and Go
Classy design!

This was my first time playing with halftones, I hope I did okay.
Excluding females over 40, the placement seems to be about right.
jeanerz13 wrote:Well, I'm not over 40...I guess I just don't like feeling like the design is coming straight out of my neck *shrugs* It was just an opinion
I am over 40 and the look on the stars face tells me he is unsure (to say the least) about the wild bush he is falling into! Maybe he will get lucky and land in Brazil! lol!!!! +1 GMV
Re: star trek
Comments/feedback welcome! I made this in Illustrator but I'm not a master user yet.
Re: The Big Bear UnCluttered
Do -NOT- screw with Ursa Major : ) Great design! GMV +1
Definitely pretty. Though I keep getting distracted by the matter transfer stream coming out the wrong side of the bigger star. It should be the side closest to the other star, since it's a gravitational pull, for example: The fact that it bugs me likely puts me in the minority, given your design is doing significantly better than mine. Feel free to critique mine as well, obviously you have a lot more experience and success at this than I do. It's unfortunate you can't resub your (and bassanimation's) Cold Fusion design from a few months ago, it would have been perfect.
Does a great job of portraying its meaning without being blatant. The wink on pizza delivery star is the icer.
Re: tea Stars
Defiantly a cool idea and I would like to see it in action, but a little worried the effect might be better in theory then practice.
I like the line work, reminds me of the head/tail light trails you see in nighttime shots of traffic. The background really adds a nice amount of depth.

Hi, I'm pretty new at this. May I ask, what's the best/easiest way to make half-tones? I have Illustrator (and Photoshop).
+1 for karma!
Re: Low Battery
one of the best shirt on this derby so far just my opinion though.
Re: The Wish I Wish Tonight
Some wishes are so huge , they require not one , but six good fairies with magic wands! (Why are the wands so powerful? Real stars!)
I'm on the same boat as a lot of people here. I think the design looks really neat, but I would love to see how it prints first. Still, I support you getting printed, so hopefully you still win. Don't be afraid to buy me stuff with your woot money.
