Sirius, the dog star, fetches the planet Earth. Based on Sirius the closest star system to earth… maybe too close. Bad dog! Put down that planet where you got it from.

Thanks so much for all the comments in the idea thread suggesting how I could fix the legs. That really helped me out a lot. =D

I'm still in awe how nicely this turned out once colored! Go doggie go!!

What a load of crap. A few complaints about how "this idea has been done soooo many times," yet not a single link or photo of any similar shirts. I repeat, load of crap.

Lagbert wrote:A simple star in 3d. I haven't tested this one - I can't find my 3d glasses - but it should pop out relative to the shirt with the center popping out more.

Maybe someone with glasses from the Woot 3 year anniversary shirt can verify this works for me.

Comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Had some glasses left over from a work promotion I kept meaning to test it with, it does work!

Necrotech wrote:Many thanks for the link, I'll use those templates next time. Though are we supposed to display both guys and girls?

No problem, I'll definitely have to see what you turn in next derby, looking forward to it! I don't think it matters which one you choose and decide to display, just depends on which one you think might get more votes (if you think the design might appeal more to women then it may be a good idea to post it with the girl one). Or if you have enough space it might be a good idea to put up both as long as it doesn't interfere with showing off your design

kaseyfleming wrote:I think both of your designs are great! i would have eased up on the halftones on this piece but otherwise its a great illustration and just keep on submitting designs.

Yeah, went a little overboard with the halftones on this one but it was my first time really getting into them so it was a valuable lesson. I plan to keep submitting so you'll see more from me in the future. Thanks for the input!

Oh and I looked at some of your past designs, really amazing especially the sea monster one. I love your characters, very expressive.

Thanks-

Re: Fetch Sirius Fetch

Seems like I've been amiss on checking the derbies lately and only on Fridays do I look at the contenders. Bad me.

Anyway, I wanted to stop by and show my support, though I didn't get to vote. I think it would be really nice for my son. It's a perfect balance of being a great art piece, yet still retaining that youthful playfulness. (It's not too cutesy-wutesy, yet not too mature for the kiddos.) I really like it; he would too. In for one if it prints.

Sirius GPP rejection woot. Sirius GPP.

I tried to find a GOOD shirt like this and I can't find any. Just a bunch of fail. This was the only shirt in the derby worth $10. Let me know if you print elsewhere, but keep the red color shirt if you can! It really does the design justice.

Thanks! I specifically choose a red shirt because it created a lot of contrast with the gray stars, made the shirt stand out and demand attention, and it allowed me to "hide the blood".

Something about this design that I really love and I think it is basically the feel of it brings back childhood adventures such as capturing fireflies in a bottle. Well done indeed!

8th place for this pretty shirt as well? Okay, I'm pretty close to giving up on this site. It doesn't look like anything I want to see printing will print anymore. Unless it's a RamyBoS. -_-
